Cool!!! Sights are pretty simple. Look on the CMP site. Windage is marked on the adjustment wheel and it only took a few minutes to reset the elevation to 200.
IF i remember correctly a 25 yd zero will put you back on at 200.

I find it pretty amazing. A 60 year old rifle and 50 year old ammunition!

By far one of the greatest rifles ever built.

I'm really enjoying it. A friend and I have comitted to each other we're going to do Camp Perry in 2012.

I loaded some 168 Hornadys behind some 4895 to see what it could really do. I really didn't believe the old thing could perform as well as it did. My best group was under 1 moa. These rifles are outstanding.

If you go next year let me know i have been going the last three years for CMP week i shoot all the CMP service rifle matches and the Garand match on sat its a lot of fun! some what addicting not going to lie! they issue you hornady Garand match ammo two boxes of 20 168 grain bullets you only shoot 35 you keep 5 live rounds and you get most of your brass back, but boy are people brass rats, but what can you do!

i even stay in the old P.O.W huts still on the base its first class all the way there got to have the full experience i tell you [Coffee] its cheap that's why!

There is a pretty large group of Colorado shooter who go every year we try and take a group of jr's every year as well to compete 7 ended up going last Aug. make sure you lock up your check book or else you will be spending a lot of money on commercial row i go broke every year, but the prices are reasonable on bulk powder and some other items but its worth it!

let me know if you have any questions will be happy to answer them!

also house fills up quick if you and your friend really want to go depending what dates your going for FYI

Thanks coop

I'll be in touch. Just looking at the schedule is a bit confusing. I'd like to do the CMP at a minimum.
