Tuesday (Zombies: a Living History) and Wednesday (Ancient Aliens) night on History Channel there will be two shows on Zombies. Watch it or I'll, I mean they'll eat your brains.

I'll be watching both. I'm hooked on the current zombie pop culture.
Cowboys and Zombies a low budget zombie flick based in 1800's old west. Some nudity.

It's interesting that when one says Zombie, someone else will say brains. Yet the brain is the only thing that actually keeps a zombie "alive". So the question is if the zombies are out to make more zombies, then wouldn't eating the brains be counter productive?

On a serious note, last year NatGeo did a show on "Zombie Alligators." Last month they did "Zombie Sea Lions." Both due to algal blooms due to fertilizers and their more basic chemical elements. hmmmm.....

It was an ill attempt at naked zombie humor.
Now she is a different topic all together. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0062752/

when it comes to gratuitous nudity and "adult activities" on a zombie film it's always entertaining to have someone of the "slam film" industry.

Does not show anything, just cheesy acting from the best horror movie of all time.
Just to keep with the theme.

From what I've heard, they've bastardized the book to make the movie. Hopefully it's decent but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Zombies don't really need brains, just food in general.
I really like Brad Pitt, but the fact that he is the Star, when in the book, each character got two chapters and everyone got equal coverage, it makes me pretty leery of the result. A lot of times, I really wish that I'd seen the movie before reading the books.

But why don't Zombies eat other Zombies if they just crave food?

Is that what you're talking about? Can't wait!
I'm with Byte, I have a few of her more "action packed" videos. I do like Alexis, she sure is a nice girl.
I don't know where the whole brains thing came from, it doesn't make sense since every zombie move you ever see they eat flesh, and don't go through the painfully difficult (for a zombie) process of getting to the brains and actually eating them. Someone screwed it up.

But Brad Pitt is playing the guy (Max Brooks) who is the investigator/writer, who was in every part of the book, so it makes sense

Actually I was talking about the book. This is the first I've heard of the movie.
I've seen a few at work today....[Coffee]

They crave fresh meat. Since the only "living" part of a zombie is the brain stem, the rest of the zombie is pretty much just walking carrion.

That movie sounds like Interview with a Vampire. Brad Pitt was in BTW.
The zombie craving brains comes from "Return of the Living Dead" Where that is all they ate because they wanted to feel themselves rot or something like that.
"Return of the Living Dead 2" was a rehash of the first. And the 3 rd one don't even bother it was that stupid.

the third was stupid, but it was still fun. plus it had Melinda Clarke in it.

I thought Zombies: Living History was pretty good. I'm glad to see that they showed Zombie Squad in a really positive light.
I can't remember the book, but I have the eBook for a great zombie book from a first person narrative about a guy near an AF Base that survives hiding in his house during the onset of the apocalypse, flees, steals a plane, and later ends up in an old missile silo... it was a great book that I'd love to recommend to you fanbois, but for some reason I can't remember the name, nor find it on my computer or internet.
Just found it on Amazon, it's called Day By Day Armageddon, great book, it's written like a journal (something I forgot) from the 1st person POV of a survivor.

He is... I haven't read the sequel yet but now really want to!
J.L. Bourne is an active duty military officer and currently resides in the Washington D.C. area. He has completed numerous tours of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, logging more than sixty combat missions over Iraq, earning three Air Medal Strike/Flight awards. Despite the ongoing war efforts, he somehow finds the time to put pen to paper in order to bring to you the fall of humanity in the Day by Day Armageddon universe. -From www.jlbourne.com

Huge fan of J.L. Bourne.
You tactical folks will get down with the procedural stuff he goes through in preparing, engaging, suriving, etc.
Both books were great, and the third in the series is coming out early next summer I believe.

Zombies : A Living History
Is this a series or just a one time documentary? I watched the History Channel's Zombie History and it seemed pretty well done.
I have some issues with the gun parts like him saying 9mm and .223 are pretty good but the ammo might be hard to come by.
It was everywhere in the Walking Dead. Now 7mm magnum or .223 wild cat might be hard to find in a pinch. But 9mm, 40 and 45 might become the new nickles, quarters and dimes in post SHTF world. At least until we start up the gold standard again. Then those that work will have more than those that don't inequality will be next. Then the looters will start taking it again to give to the needy and if we can avoid a dictatorship or serfdom we will be right back where we started. The gun grabbers will say only the police and military need guns for zombies and they will protect you. Guns will end up in the zombies possesion saying they got them from crooked gun makers and dealers. They need a back ground check before a gun is sold or traded or banned all together, because if you need a gun for protection you are just crazy. Its been months since a zombie outbreak happened.
But I digress...
No I think it was a great show. Sometimes I can watch The History Channel with child like awe. And other times I can't watch it at all. This time was the former.
