Rounded out with some good news hanging out with my dad on his birthday.
Long story short (and Uber knows the story): I was at a party, some guy was obviously looking for it and was messing with me we fought a bit in the living room of this house, we left, he followed me to my car, got in my face- while I was trying to de-escalate the situation he sucker punched me, we fought some more, his friend hit me in the back of the head, my friends jumped in and broke it up. I have a few scratches on my face (not sure if he used his fists or his nails), some potential inner ear damage (from his sucker punch which struck right on the ear- Fight Club jokes aside), and since Sunday morning still have a slight headache. I haven't fought in years and it feels like this was unavoidable. And no I didn't start it. I see him again and it's on like donkey kong!

But on the good news, yesterday was my dad's birthday, we went to the Chart House for dinner, then he, my brother and I went back to my dad's house and watched the first episode of Band Of Brothers- starting up our weekly thing we used to do when it was on TV for the first time.

The weekly Band of Brothers thing sounds great... enjoy all the time you can with your family... 'cause, you just never know.

That sucks! I got in an unavoidable fight at a bar about 5 years ago with some drunk pos biker from the sons. His friends kept getting involved and some college kid sucker punched me in the back of the head. At least the college kid could battle cause the bikers that night sure couldn't. I had a few friends with me and they never got involved.

Now unless I am working I don't go to bars.

Sucks to hear man. I have only been in one "fight" in the last few years and even that wouldn't really count. I've only just 'forcibly removed' unwelcome people from friends' parties. I think the worst part of fighting is the stupidity that comes out of people and the reason they need to prove something. Usually sucks for them in the end, as I rarely ever drink, and they're usually belligerent by the time they decide to escalate.

Oooh ouch, I still remember getting punched in the ear in college, that was one the ones that hurt the worst! Glad you're okay and got to spend some time with your family yesterday!
