Amen, and never forget a large portion of those grabbers are in your own govt.

The main reason the gun grabbers had power was because much of the populace backed them. Now they don't (but yes, public opinion can be fickle).
That doesn't mean they aren't still going to try to get our guns and I understand that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't acknowledge when we're winning.
The statistics are nice to see...however, I always keep an eye on the enemy and NEVER let my guard down. I fear the "gun grabbers" the most when they are silent, simply because it means they are planning & plotting their next movement.

What's odd is more and more of our society grows urban based. The logical thought process would mean it would turn more anti-gun as cities usually have stricter gun laws. Maybe everyday people are getting the idea that guns are a good thing for society.
Perhaps we as a society finally grok this:
An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.

Actually I blame the gun grabbers for the decrease in support for gun control.
Every time they tried to tighten gun laws, more and more people ran out and bought the guns to be banned. I still remember a time when very few people owned ARs, now they're possibly more common than double barrel shotguns.
As more people own guns, less people are interested in them being banned.

My thoughts exactly.
Also of note is the fact that the disparity was much greater in the opposite direction at one time and the tables have flipped so our work is far from done since the same thing can happen the other way.

True, they see gun regulation as an uphill battle so they will go after ammunition. I see serialization of ammo as the next big threat.
Our rights to own and bear firearms will always be under attack one way or another!

Let's not forget that "Gun Control" is a political talking and selling point, but political suicide for one to act upon it.
At least "Above the Radar".

Stay vigelante and keep pushing for more gun freedoms that have been taken away from us
I was ahead of a lady in a teller line at the bank a few days ago and she was ragging about guns and saying they should pass a law and ban all guns and she would feel safer. As I walked away I said, you know thats a great idea, why don't we pass a law against drugs then we wont have a drug problem

Oh, Call of Duty is a HUGE waste of time. I plan to continue my research on this topic in just a couple of weeks. [Tooth]

Many years ago I was a moderator on a forum dedicated to a realistic shooter mod for Unreal Tournament called Infiltration (very much a predecessor to COD and the other super realistic shooter games).
I guarantee you that there were many members of that community that were antis when they started but ended up owning guns and supporting gun rights.
Culture is important. Its the means by which most people develop their world view.
It's good to see the trends, but remember we are just one Columbine away from that reversing.

We've had a dozen "Columbines" since Columbine and still no gun control.
Hell if Virginia Tech didn't get us a full capacity magazine ban, nothing is.
That's not to say that there aren't sneaky bastards sneaking around behind the scenes trying to screw us over, but they no longer have the support of the people.
I still find it amazing that Americans used to be 60/40 in favor of a handgun ban and now we're basically 3/4 against it now.
