Newbie question on .223

Question for those that have done this before.

I now have about 350 brass cases that were fired in my Wylde chambered AR. Some of them were already once fired, remanufactured brass purchased at a retail outlet (HSM, 55 GR, orange box from Sportsmans Warehouse) and some of them were new federal 55 Gr from Wally World.

Do I necessarily need to full length resize this brass or will neck sizing only be the proper thing to do? I have both the Lee full length sizing die, the collet neck resizer and the factory crimp die.

These will never be fired in another gun.

In a semi auto, always full length resize every time.

For bolt gun you can get away with neck sizing.

Ok, next question.

I've seen videos of progressive presses in operation where, on one station the case is resized and deprimed and then, on the very next station, the case is primed with a new primer....no cleaning of the primer pocket.

How important is primer pocket cleaning?

For plinking ammo, cleaning primer pockets is not that important, just make sure the primers are seated all the way. For building match ammo, very important.

When it comes to getting the ultimate in accuracy out of reloads it's more a science than a process.
