View Full Version : Halloween confuses me...
So I don't get this coming holiday really... I thought I did when I was young, go out, dress like a superhero, or commando, or fire fighter and get lots and lots of candy- for free! Now it just seems like everything is sexy this, and slutty that. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but when I admire a girl because she really does look slutty in her "naughty nurse" or "naughty delivery girl" outfit I'm a pervert and they are to be respected! Well hun, sorry, but you're dressed like a character out of a porno just seconds before she gets naked and takes on 6 guys. I just don't get it... why this double standard? "Just because I'm dressed like this does not make me a slut!" Yeah? Well I hate to break it to you, but just because I'm driving this Zamboni, it actually does make me a Zamboni operator.
Your last date didn't go well?

Now a naughty delivery girl driving a Zamboni, that would be cool. [Beer]
Your last date didn't go well?
No, a friend posted a pic of her at a costume party last night and I made a perfectly friendly comment: "Wow, looking good, you should dress like this more often, gives my imagination a day off!" I was sincere in my compliment, no sarcasm or anything.... Then she was all pissed, even texted me and said I was a masochistic *******. You may not be a slut, but you are wearing the uniform.
Could have been worse. You could have asked her if she changed careers. [Beer]

All of the outfits for girls/women are like that and I don't get it either. I have two daughters, 11 and 9, and there was nothing appropriate for that age. It is quite ridiculous.

Would you think I was a slut if I wore a naughty nurse outfit? Probably not. So why would you assume she was? [Coffee]
Seriously, that is pretty funny stuff. I am definitely a fan of the "sexy" outfits unless it is a 13 year old girl wearing them. Then it makes me wonder WTF her parents were thinking letting her wear that.

We get a LOT of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood (last year was about 140).
I love the beginning of the evening ... all the real little kids in their cute little pumpkin outfits (or other equally cute costumes). But by the end of the night the tween and teen girls in their little slutty outfits show up ... and honest to God if you ran into one of these underage girls in a bar you'd buy them a drink and not think twice of it.
I'm so glad I don't have kids (especially a daughter) or I'd have to move way up in the mountains on some property ... heavily mined and booby trapped ... with gun turrets.

It's people like you who should have kids. If more of you did, the world would be a much better place.

There was one last year that just as I put the candy in the bag my eyes went up to see here reaction. Along the way I went Holly S#it. Then I looked at her face. How old are you? 12 came the reply. The wife laughed. I was like holy crap. She was dressed as a french maid.
She then reminded me about what happened all those years ago with the oldest daughter. We went out for a nice father daughter dinner to an upscale place. I ordered a glass of wine and the waiter asked if "My Date" would like a glass as well. I told him no, my 14 yo daughter does not need a glass of wine. [Rant2]Then she opened her mouth and said, But Dad..... We never went out to dinner just the two of us again until she was almost 30.[Coffee]

Hitting on women fail! Hahah I got a good chuckle out of that.
Gotta work that brain->mouth filter. Sits there in between your mind and the vocal cords and processes everything with a, "How will a women twist this to my disadvantage" question. When it works well you learn to keep quiet most of the time. ;)

That alarm never goes off, you know the kind: "Warning, alcohol introduced into system, filter de-activated."
Shouldn't that be sadistic *******? Ask her.

Women want to be acknowledged as being attractive, it's that simple. It's beaten into our heads constantly that we should be sexy, skinny (yet shapely), have a pretty face, blah, blah, blah. When a woman wears something revealing (aka: slutty), yes, she's looking to get some attention or compliments.
The fine line that most guys aren't aware of is that women want the compliments but they don't want to know that you want to "tap that." If Ronin just said, "Wow, looking good." She would have loved that. By saying it "gives my imagination a day off," that makes her think he has the hots for her or is fantasizing about her. Women just want the compliments, they don't want to think, "Does he want me?" "Do I like him in that way?" "He's gross and he likes me, now what do I do?" (Yes, women over think this stuff.)
I think once you add sexual connotation to the compliment, then some women are going to get huffy. They want to think that even though their skirt is short and their boobs are on display, that you really like them for their mind, or personality, or whatever. What most women forget is that men are very visual and that's what they will notice first... and then they can't think straight. ;-) And that's why women and men will never understand each other.
On another note, I have two daughters (10 and 12) and I hate how inappropriate they make costumes for girls. This "be sexy" B.S. is beaten into their heads and such a young age. [Help]
About time I can post this video again.
There are 2-4 swear words in this video. Very light.

After what I heard about last year I'm going to the Denver Zoo for Halloween. Called the Boo at the Zoo. Heard one lady say that the moms were wearing costumes so over the top she covered her kids eyes most of the time. Wonder if it's appropriate to bring a wad of singles.[Coffee]

I think that if a hot (make that attractive... or maybe just somewhat attractive... eh, if she had a good personality) woman told me she wanted to "tap that" i would take it as a compliment. Of course my wife would kick her a$$, which would be a win-win: I get a nice compliment and I get to watch a girl fight. Hopefully it's near a mud pit. Or a kiddie pool filled with KY Jelly. But I digress.
I love seeing those outfits at parties (above 18 of course...well really all above 21 with alcohol).
glad I have a son, he can be a superhero and cool stuff like that, having a daughter scares the crap outta me.

She's 20... so it's ok, but here is the pic (drum roll please) she's on the left:

This. I never got women to be all huffy at me, especially when regarding a compliment to the way she looked, or what she was wearing, WHEN I WAS SINGLE. ([ROFL1]) It comes from using that filter that DawnPatrol was talking about. Regarding her outfit, saying something about how her headband makes her hair look good, that it frames her face nicely, would DEFINITELY lead to more conversation instead of causing her to shut down and stomp away. Then during the conversation, she gets to see how interesting you really are, not some drooling pig that makes her feel like she needs a shower by the things you say to her. (And not the kind with you in there with her.)
I just kept the comments about how I could take that tube top and skirt off in a single motion, using just my teeth - to myself. If she's interesting of a person enough to get to know her, then maybe I'll get to try it out. If she's a bimbo, then thanks for the conversation and eye candy. Off to find someone more interesting than you.

Could just be q pet peeve of mine, but I hate when people don't know what the terms masochistic and sadistic mean. If anything I could see her calling you sexist, or a chauvinist. Both would have been fitting. Though still bull**** based on the compliment you gave her.
I mean admiring a woman doesn't make enjoy receiving or inflicting pain.
