I just had my picture taken for my CCW permit at Jeffco. I am now official.

Coincidently I ran across some info on an EAA Witness P-Carry in 10mm. It is a large sized polymer frame with a shorter slide and barrel. I like the idea of a larger grip so you don't get your wrist snapped up with the small frame. My current pistols are a CZ52 and a Ruger P85.

Has anyone had any experience with this pistol? I have found some threads on FTFeed and mag-dropping on some models of the EAA line and I guess EAA's customer service leaves something to be desired.

Is there any one locally that has these for sale? I want to see one in person.

Thanks for any information or advice.

I have both the Witness P-Carry in 10, and a very limited (not offered in the EAA catalog, and one of 20) 10 mm Full-size poly 10mm. I love them both. The P-Carry is a great carry gun, how can you out-do 15 rounds of smokin' hot 10mm?, but it does have fair recoil and second cshot sight aquisition comes more slowly that with the full fize. Both are excellent handguns.

Oh, BTW, I also have a Wintess Gold in 10mm, a 1076, a 1066, a 1006, a 610 revolver, 2 DElta Elites, a 10mm Oly carbine, and a Bren Ten. I like my 10's!!

Welcome to the site Rattler. Thanks for the reply. I'm not a big posting member but I usually can find the information I'm looking for here.

Hopefully I can get to shoot a P-Carry or Compact in 10mm before I buy one. I'm waffling between 10mm or sticking to 9mm in one of the CZ compacts that are available. I've been carrying my P85 Ruger in a shoulder holster but it is a heavy lump with 17+1 in it. Plus its getting too hot to wear a jacket.

Which, if any of your S&W semi autos is a compact or commander sized pistol?

The 1076 is a Commader sized, with the frame mounted decocking lever. Definately the cream of the crop.
