I've got the Magpul M93B on my Olympic K9GL.

I like the stock in general. I knew it was heavy when I bought it, but I thought that would be a "good thing" to help absorb some of the recoil.

Overall the rifle is heavy though. 9.44lbs with the scope and VFG.

I've been toying with replacing the stock, maybe go with a PRI carbon-fiber forearm and SBR it. Remove the fake picatinny gas-block.

Is the cheek-weld as nice with the CTR as the M93B?

What's the UBR stock?

Not sure about the stocks, but I have the PRI C/F front ends on the two AR's now in PD's hands from being stolen (but no, I"m not bitter  ) and anyway, they are LIGHT.
And they both have the 93B stock.

I also had the barrel turned down where it's under the handguards, so it's very light. there's no way the rifle weighs much more than 6lbs.

The 9mm bolt is a "lot" heavier than the .223. Haven't measure it, but you can tell its heavier. The buffer is probably heavier too.

Since the inside-diameter is larger, the barrel should be lighter than a .223 of the same outside-diameter.

I've got a rifle-length PRI tube along with a Cavalry Arms lower on one of my AR-15's and I really like the light weight. That's what got me thinking about one for this.

That would be really light.
I have a CavArms lower with a Colt HBAR 20" upper and actually it turns out to be a really well handling gun. Not too heavy, not too light, etc.
A PRI C/F tube on a 16" light profile barrel with a car arms lower would be awesomely light.

They have 2 versions of the rifle-length forearm. One with a steel barrel nut, and the other with an aluminum.

In retrospect, I probably should have gone with the aluminum. I didn't realize there was an option at the time.

Anybody know how the CTR, UBR and M93B compare in weight?

I see weights listed for the CTR and UBR, but I'm guessing the weight listed for the CTR doesn't include the prerequisite tube.

I'd really like to find a LIGHTWEIGHT adjustable stock that provides a good cheek-weld.
