The doc told me they were baseball style stiches and 1 long piece of stitching material.
I wanna take them out on my own, anyone ever taken this kind of stitching out?
APpreciate anyone in the EMT or DR world to throw thier advice on it.

I have taken over 40 stitches out before, but the individual knot kind.
So this is all new to me.

I used to take my stitches out all the time!! Hahaha

The best (or my favorite) way is use nail clippers to cut it, then pull out with tweezers.

Pull slowly lol

The thing I dont know exactly how to do it do I make one snip with the clippers
then pull the piece and will gradually get longer as its one long ass piece?

I know with the reg stitches, you clip on one side of the knot and pull the knotted side out and the stitch is out and repeat for the rest of the stitches.

cut the top of each piece with nail clippers, pull out the small sections with tweezers

Couldn't you simply cut and remove one piece at a time like with the normal ones?

Most stiches are easy to cut and pull out. I had some one time that were a bit**. They went through the normal way but then they moved over a 1/16" and went back through and then tied it. Didn't think I was gonna get them dug out of there. I would probally go in if I had to do them again. But, each one of those double stiches were one piece of thread. They were pretty deep in the flesh tho. [Help]

Then grab a couple baseballs and practice on them. [Tooth]

Is there sections of material exposed? Could you cut what is exposed and pull the new individual pieces out?

you do NOT want to pull the whole thread out at once. It is going to bind up, rip and tear at your skin. Cut stitch, then the one above or below it and take that section out, Repeat till you are done.

Ya you just keep clipping it into the pieces you want. I usually just pull it WITH the clippers, the thread is pretty strong.

Just dont squeeze too hard and it will be fine

Got them out and was relatively painless with the exception of the one stitch that had some skin growing over it

One piece of stitc material, not individual pieces of material.

did he wrap it multiple times so you can see that same piece of stitching multiple times?

if so, all you are doing is cutting 1 long piece into several shorter pieces and will disturb the healing skin less.

Thats what it was. 1 long piece and at the ends was tied in a loop then longer piece used to continue on the othe onther end.

and if anything separates a little bit, put super glue on it. I haven't had to stitch myself, but hunting dogs sometimes need them and so far I have done a good job with a needle, stitching and super glue![Weight]

Super glue is my go to when I cut my fingers doing something.

Nice job! I had some above my right eye and had a friend's mom (nurse) take them out for me. I was about to do it myself but she told me she would do it.

OK there DD977GM2, apparently you have NOT checked out the Nurses down in the Albuquerque VA.[Tooth]

Back to the stitches, just pull them out slowly and with care.

If you were further north or feel like a nice day road trip (lol) my wife can take those out for you. I've had LOTs of experience removing stitches myself but she's the professional.
