And I'm a little worried. My daily driver is a 1966 Mustang that I took a loan out on to pay for medical bills.
Since then I have lost my job and have been struggling to make the payments. I am real close to paying it off but in the last 3 months I haven't been able to make the payment and they are threatening to take it away. I'm trying to sell my blazer off to make a bigger dent in the bill but unfortunately nobody is taking me up on it. I was also helping this mail order company send packages but now I think I got ripped off and they aren't going to pay. I'm screwed.
I'm more than a little worried. I haven't been able to sleep lately and I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight either.
Does anyone want to help me out and buy some stuff off me?
A nice 85 blazer rattle canned black and would make a decent trail truck.
Maybe some guns?
I might need them if the rest of the world is as screwed as I am.
I wish I had some handguns to sell because those seem to fetch the most money.
A few mausers. Mosin Nagant.

Here is the truck. I didn't get to finish the hood today. But I will.

Can't you talk to them and make some sort of negotiation?

I'm wishing you well, buddy.

Man that sucks. If the bank is threatening, be careful because a car like that they will want to repo and sell at the auction for some good $$$$$.

The Stang is a white 1966 coupe that started out as a t code car (meaning it came with a 6 banger [which I still have]) but since then has been upgraded to a 302 v8 w automatic overdrive. I only owe about 2-3 grand on the Stang and the bike I have a loan out with the same bank for both and they are both up on the block. But my mustang is the daily driver so that is what I'm really worried about. The bike doesn't even run right now. 1st gear went out on me and I was quated 1500 to get it fixed. I thought that could wait a while.

I figured I would paint it for the off roading crowd since they don't mind it getting banged up anyway. I don't know what I'm doing anymore.
I try to find work I do od jobs when I can find them. This is what I'm coming to. Selling off all my stuff that I take years to gather up.
I do have an AK parts kit with the new receiver attached that I would let go of for say 250. Its a project that I have been meaning to tackle but other things pull me away.
Its all there with the barrel. Its a circa 70's romanian g kit that someone paint camo. But the receiver was never right. I was going to chuck it and start from scratch on that.
That yellow stuff is tape. It comes off later.

Sell the Horse. It has rust. Its worth just enough to make life interesting.
You can be more confortable sleeping in the Blazer and it will tow a boat or camper.

I need to do something. I'm tired of worrying about it all.
4500 for the mustang
1500 for the truck
70 for the mosin
250 for the AK parts kit

I love those pics of the mustang. I couldn't seem to get the right angle with the right light in any of them. I guess all that was missing to make it look bad was to be out of focus.

As someone who -was- a repossessor for over 25 years, I -might- be able to give you info to help you. Who is your lender for starters?

Doc,

Sorry to hear about your employment situation.
I work for a company that has a call center near Centennial Airport. Like any call center they have turnover pretty regular and run hire classes often. I'm not high enough on the food chain to guarantee you a job, but I can put in a resume with a good word. If you have any retail/sales work experience you'll be a shoe in, if not just fluff the resume some.

It's terribly boring work, and depending on where you are at, it may be a long drive, but figured I would throw that out there.

Hope things start looking up for you.

Thank you all a million for your help and kind words. I would name those in perticular that helped but you all are great and there are to many to list.
Check out my for sale stuff when I get around to getting it up.
I keep getting pulled away.
I still have a package from the mail order place that ripped me off. They didn't send a ticket for it and haven't gotten back to me. I wonder if I should resell it to recoop some loses here?
Its a "presso expresso" machine from think geek. Could be useful to someone. I like expresso too I would keep but I got a machine already.
I send them one more email then its up for sale too.

Thanks and keep the job as long as you can. Millions on welfare depend on you.
But seriously glad to see us pulling through even though they don't want us to.

Call the bank, tell them you're having troubles and see if they can work with you.

The surest way to get them to sic the repo man on you is by not paying AND not talking to them.

If you can, make a deal to surrender the bike in exchange for being given more time on the car. That will enable them to close one of their delinquent files and that will help. I know the company that does the repos for PSCU and they aren't very nice. Keep your gate locked and they won't be able to get it without breaking the law. It is considered Breaking and Entering for them to even open a gate, much less tamper with the lock. See who is in charge of your account over there and try to talk to Tonya Earl if you can.

I'm talking with them right now. I keep calling and keep getting disconnected before I talk to someone. I hope this isn't a bad sign.

Remember they will not tell you if it is out for repo currently. You won't know until they are hooking it up or knocking on your door to demand surrender. You do not have to give it up. It is a civil matter, not a criminal one. You can simply tell the repossessor to get off of your property.

I might have missed it but what kind of bike is it? I know some bikers.

I was able to make a payment on the bike. It was the latest. Now I just need to get some stuff sold and catch up the stang. I know when I tried to surrender the bike before they wanted both.
How does that work anyway? You surrender something and you still have to pay off the loan right? Or does it just go away?
I'm trying to save my credit here. I have big plans to start a liquor store, gun shop and smokers shop and call it Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. Or some variation there of.
I guess credit comes down to not if you will pay or not its if you can earn it to pay. At least its that way for me. If I had it I would give it.

I'll inquire about a job at the place I work at for you tomorrow if you'd like. Send me a PM and I'll give you a run down on what you do. Very easy. You just have to be nice to the customer at all times. Starts at $12.89 an hour. Might not be full time, but it is something.

Even if you surrender it you will have to pay for whatever is left on the loan after they resale it. Sorry about the tough times man don't let it get you down!

Mazin is right, the difference is called "deficiency balance". They will try to collect it if you surrender collateral, but you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip so they don't do very well with those efforts.

Had a job interview and sold the ammo today. Its a little better. Still have to work on catching things up. I hope some work comes through soon. Or I may have to beg on the street corner.
In an unrelated story if you see a guy with a sign that says "Need a job, this one sucks." or "I thought I was to proud to beg" give him a quarter. Don't throw it!
I maybe able to sell that parts kit soon or my sporterized mauser that will by some time at least.
1918 sporterized Mauser $200 buress scope a freaking tack driver
1980's parts kit $250. Needs some work like a receiver. (and all the american parts) SOLD
