Heh heh

Yes...yes...I put the ol' Tim Taylor toy to work today for the first time this season so I'm a little giddy! I actually enjoy snow-blowing and shoveling...how sick is that?[Muaha]

Just wait until that shoveling through the years gets your body to "rage against the machine", then you won't enjoy it as much.

This is the Tim Taylor snow blower! What a beast. Bet the neighbors love hearing this puppy at 6am.

I've got a corded electric that I love. It's not as big as yours or my neighbors but it works awesome and I don't have to worry about gas or a loud stinky machine. I've used this for about 6yrs now through some pretty serious stuff and it's worked flawlessly. I got it for a price error back in the day when Amazon messed up for like $120 shipped and it's been worth quite a bit more than that to me ever since. My neighbor was even amazed when we put them head to head in different competitions. Only limitation of mine is the length of the cord. lol

My uncle got half his fingers ripped off when he felt the need to reach into the auger.

Just felt like sharing that...

Is that one of those little ones that you shove around, like on a handle, and it basically throws the snow out in front of it? I've been curious about how one of those would work for clearing off the patio so the dogs can get out. I've got a big hog of a blower for the driveway and sidewalks, but can't get it to the backyard.

I did a Google search, seems they're called power shovels or something like that by Toro, about $100 at HD. What brand/model is yours?

No, it's not one of those snow shovels and I have no first hand experience on those. Here's a link (http://www.amazon.com/Toro-38381-18-Inch-Electric-Thrower/dp/B003FIQKYO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1320416465&sr=8-2) to one similar to mine. I use it for sidewalks and our driveway is a double garage door, a single garage door and then another 6' or so wide and fairly long so we have quite a bit of snow to clear and this bad boy does just fine. Throws it from one side of the driveway all the way to the other or from the top down to the street. Works quite well and I don't have to worry about gasoline, starting it or maintenance. I just squeeze the handle switch and go. I highly recommend them. Heck, I even hang it from a hook on the wall when not in use to save space. Tough to do that with a big ol' gas powered one.

Yeah, that's too big for me, I just need one of those 12" powershovels for the patio area. The big gas monster I have was "loaned" to me by a neighbor who moved to an apartment and said I could use it until he came back to get it, but we've never heard from him since and it's been 5-6 years now.

Yep, nice problem to have though! It's a snow-heaving sumbitch.
