I was watching a bunch of videos from this years MGM Ironman 3gun, and every Saiga I saw was having problems! I have been using my S12 in 3 gun matches for 2 years now without any problems. I have well over 2k rounds through it. Guess I have the only saiga that works all the time LOL.

Just something I noticed, rant over, carry on.

I use mine in 3-gun matches, along with my son, my friend and his friend. Eats everything we have fed it. Had it over 3 years now and not one problem. So I guess there are two of them that run good.

Mine has been flawless as well. They do vary gun to gun-I have seen some that needed the "Puck" and others that didnt.

It was funny to me that at a match like that guys would bring an unproven/untested gun. And it wasnt just random no name guys.

here is Matt Burkett of Preditor tactical. I watched a few of his videos from this match and he has nothing but problems with his saiga(which looks like an R&R gun)

Mine's been flawless so far (500ish rounds) with Walmart bulk, buckshot and slugs. Now I just need to get it to a 3 gun match with Carey!
This is one if my most fun guns to shoot, I love it.

When I first got my Saiga 12, I started having some issues my buddy knew a local gunsmith (back in MN) that loved tinkering with Saigas. He charged me a whole $50 and I have not had an issue. As I don't know exactly what was done, it seemed he "tuned" it up. I have not heard of a lot of issues with other people and their Saiga 12, but I guess there seems to be bad batches..

My S12 has two of its three gas ports partially covered up. It hasn't given me any issues but I do have the low brass kit with the four gas adjustments. I fear one day they'll get too dirty and start to play tricks with my cycling. That area is fairly hard to clean out.

Most of it has to do with the number of gas holes and the quality. They got sloppy trying to push them out as fast as possible. Mine has had no issues with it has 4to ports, lots of work done and the gas adjustment. It will run everything flawless.

I have had two of these. Both had problems with the cheap wal mart ammo. Both were new when I got them. The first one was getting better as it loosened up. The second one I still have sitting in the safe waiting for a low pressure kit.

It sounds like you got a lemon. I'll take it off your hands for a fair price... [Coffee]

Wouldn't know. Sent my bolt carrier and Trigger groups off to a "reputable" saiga-12 forum member approx 2 months ago and have yet to have my parts returned to me.

Before I converted mine, I ran 50 rounds of wally world ammo through it... not one prob.
