So did you have to pay the $152.50, or just the $52.50?

No i'm exempt, luckily the wife was able to get in to a class on sunday.
Had to pay full boat. The real shi$%^&y thing is i no longer have the cool CCW permit but once approved it's the same generic one everyone has.

That sucks Jim! What do you have to do to renew in CO as far as class? Hell in weld do you just have to show a hunting license? Haha
sucks, but thanks for reminding me to check mine.... still good for now.

I neglected to check expiration date. Seeing how i was laid up and so pharma'd out from the surgery it never crossed my radar. That and forgetting they no longer notified you to renew. SO................. being more than X time out of date the whole apply for permit starts from square 1, it's like we never had one until i handed in the paperwork monday morn.
Class / Range time wise, i have instructor certification so i needed nothing, the wife, has an "in" with an instructor.

Up side is no LE interaction the last year plus, that might have jammed me up. Hopefully this next (last) surgery will not zone me out as long or hard as 1 & 2 did.

Yeah you might've gotten a little hemmed up by the police.

This could have turned out real bad... Glad nothing happened and hope the 90 days goes by quick for you. [Beer]

Thanks, They said longest is 50 days. Hopefully Sheriff Cooke signing off on 2 Form 4's in 4 weeks moves the process along a tad faster. If not, looks like i am a common citizen until then.
lesson learned. Pay Attention to expiration dates, guess i should take a peek at my DL while i'm browsing the wallet.

I had to use my valid CCW permit as government issued photo ID to get on a plane when they wouldn't take my drivers license because it was expired. That felt...awkward.

I had this happen last year. I was pulled over for speeding and while the officer ran my license, I looked at my CCW. It had been expired for two months. OOPS. Called the sheriff, who told me to just come in and pay. Took about two weeks, but got a new permit without having to take the class over. I'm sure glad the officer didn't ask if I was carrying.

It is ok, so long as you do not step out of your vehicle with it concealed...
going to check mine right now!

Why did it feel awkward? I use my CCW when I'm carded at the bar all the time, it's a way better picture of me than my DL... [Coffee]

If my happens to expire without me noticing I would rather just pay for the class... not to sure what the wife has to do for you to give her a "free" class!
Glad it worked out for you and you didn't get jammed up. Hope your feeling better buddy!
