I really like the Magpul MOE handguards. I like the looks of them and I like the way they feel in my hand. What I don't like are the available methods for attaching a sling to them. Most of them are way too obtrusive for my tastes. So I decided to modify one to suit my needs. This wasn't my idea but was something Rob at Bower's Tactical suggested. I think it turned out pretty good. With the sling detached all you see is a very flush mounted QD socket. The QD socket is from Impact Weapons Components and is actually made for the Troy Industries TRX Extreme handguards. It was a really simple, inexpensive modification. Simply pick where you want it, drill a 1/2" hole in the handguard, and install it.
