With the addition of 6 new berms (5 pistol and 1 new rifle), Pikes Peak Gun Club (AKA Izaak Walton's) in Colorado Springs is now hosting a weekly steel challenge event. We meet on Fri evenings From the beginning of May thru Sept. There will be 4-5 stages to shoot. We run each stage 5 times, so bring 150-200rds. This match is open to the public with no additional fees required by the club.
Set up starts at 4:00 with first shot fired around 4:30. We are running a self squad event (same as Hoser's event in Pueblo). So whenever you get here, just sign in and jump in with whatever group works best for you. If you get there by 6:30 you should be able to get through all of the stages before sun down. Those who show up by 4:00 and help set up get $5 off the entry.
Entry is $10 for adults and $5 for minors. Minors must be accompanied by responsible adult, who is not required to shoot the match.
We host all of the common steel challenge divisions, including the rimfire divisions and pistol caliber carbines.
