Cool. And it doesent have one of those worthless PG stocks on it.

I had a 1100CM just like that. I was able to bang out 23-24 easily on the skeet and trap fields. That short barrel wont hurt you out there.

Nice shotgun.

I hope to take care of that ( Never been fired ) problem at the North shoot. Also I plan to keep my never been ( SHOT ) status intact for the rest of my natural born life.

Nice! I was looking at one at Gander today and it had the pistol grip. Nice looking gun. What kind of finish is that? I think they wanted like $560.00 or so. Good thing TKHunter wasn't there or ya woulda been forced to try and find it in the 20 gauge. [poke]

Nice!

I love the olive drab barrel! I like the marine version a lot, but then I realized the jump in price wasn't really worth it.

What did you pay if I may ask?

What did you pay if I may ask? They sell for about $630.00 at Sportsman Whs. I got mine at Green Mountain Guns for $525.00 some dude had it on consignment for $600 on Friday and I called down there on Sat. to see if it was still available and he reduced the price to $550.00, So I ran down there and I offered him $500.00 and he countered with $525.00.

I'd like to see how it's done and what kind of extra goodies I need to get before I make a fool out of myself. lol Thanks, Larry

the next 3-Gun up at Aurora Gun Club? No comment....

However Colorado Multigun starts having matches in Greeley third Saturdays starting Janauary.

Grab your shotgun, a pistol and a rifle and get out there. Just watching a match is more painful than spending quality time with my mother in law.

I have a EOTECH holo sight on my rifle or will I be using Iron sights on the AR? Can I use the Red Dot sight on the shotgun or should I leave it off? How much ammo do I need? How many mags? What kind of belt and holdster? Or do I need a tactical vest and a tactical leg style holdster? Should I use a service type belt with mag pouchs and what kind of pouchs do most of the guys have on there belts? Should I pitch the sling on the shotgun and use a Butt Cuff? Or maybe just use another pouch to hold Shotshells? Do I use regular eye & ear protection. Knee pads? Elbow pads? Questions, Questions, Questions???

bring your 3 guns,

2 boxes of Shotgun shells #7
2 boxes of slugs
120 rounds of rifle
120 rounds of pistol

plenty of mags for all.

ear protection
eyewear

hat
sunblock

$20

some means to carry your spare mags on each stage.

bring what you have and watch, observe and participate
You will have fun if you don't take yourself TOO serious

you'll see what works and what doesn't for YOU.

you may even be able to borrow gear, most people I've encountered were A-1.

slings you don't really need for most stages so wait till you see the stage before taking them off.

optics put you in a diff. class. If you're comfortable with 'em... leave them on.

this is about you, not about the 'competition'. Use it to develop your skills. Learn from others and better times/scores will come along.

An EOTECH on your AR is fine for Aurora 3-gun. All shots are inside 200 yards. Have a good 150 and 200 yard zero. If you come down to Pueblo where shots go out to 425 yards, an EOTECH is marginal unless you have rock solid zeros.

I would leave the scope off the shotgun. Any optics on a shotgun or pistol bump you into unlimited/open division.

Take 100 rounds of each, and maybe 15-20 slugs in case they have a slug stage. I think Aurora still does not allow buckshot.

Take 5 pistol and 3-5 rifle mags. If you can scrape up a good working 40 round mag, they can be worth their weight in gold. Look for Sterling brand. Its the only 40 round mag that works.

A vest isnt needed. A normal belt holster is all that is needed for 3-gun.

A sling on the shotgun isnt needed. Cant hurt, might help. Dont get one and put ammo on it. Bad idea.

Most guys load shotgun ammo from speed strippers (http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=4148&title=12+GAUGE+SPEED+STRIPPER/url) on the belt or gun mounted carriers from speed strippers (http://www.3gungear.com/Pages/Shotgun_Side_Saddle.html/url) 3gungear. The plastic ones are way too slow.

Elbow and knee pads arent required, but I keep some in my bag if it looks like I might need them. The older I get, the more important they are.

I guess I need to put together a 3-gun FAQ and post it somewhere, unless there is already one...

Wallary, how are you liking your 1100 Tac so far?

Wallary, how are you liking your 1100 Tac so far?So far so good. I shot about 200 rounds through it when I first got it and I took it to Colorado Clays and shot some skeet with it a couple of times. I've missed the last few club shoots because of weather or I would have burned up a lot more shells. I get kick out of blasting 9 shots as fast as I can pull the trigger! Other than that it's a pretty nice hat rack in our bedroom.
