Excellent! I bet they loved that!
Ya, my boy kept trying to take the damn thing apart... I think he checked almost every nut and bolt on the thing.

T55?
Edit: nevermind, no it's not, looks like an M48 A1. I'll bet they had a great time.

M60 - I was a gunner on one in my Montana NG unit before I went active.
Got to Korea in '82 and was on M48A5E3. M48 hul front was curved where you can see the M60 series hull front edge is straight across. Also the commanders cupola defines it as M60 series. M48 did not have the enclosed cupola. TC had to fire the M2 exposed.
Thank God I got to finish my Army stint on M1 Abrams.
Dad...can we keep it? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

Probably an M60 Patton, although the M48 Patton looks a lot like 'em. While all the flash is the M1 series these days, the M60 was a damn good workhorse. Even with its age, in the latter varients, it will today defeat 80% of the tanks out there.
That's pretty cool! That first picture would bring up some pretty cute captions "Hey dad, now who's the boss??"[LOL]
Finally replaced the Volvo?
