Not a high dollar knife and honestly not a lot of time spent on it. Cleaned it up more than anything, this thing was in pretty rough shape.
As I think it was Tom Krein that said, taking pictures of shiny stuff sucks. These are the only photos that really turned out half way decent. I need to take a picture taking class. :bang::bang::bang: Or make a light box just for knives.

I don't think they make manly hammers that small. I have a small ball peen but still to heavy for some things

Seriously! 2 point deduction! Why 2 you ask? Because it was as simple as moving it out of the frame. Hehehe!!!

I do have one of those knives and really like it. Nice clean up work!

Mr Will, any recommendations on how to sharpen CRKT's Veff serrations? One of the teeth on my M21 got a small chip in it.

I own a veff sharpener, out fits them the best, otherwise take the knife to a hardware store and find a file that fits. Our you can mail it to me, may not be worth it on one knife though

How fine a file should I look?

It honestly depends on the chip. If you can find a diamond needle file set that has a half round in it, that would probably work. You can get the Veff sharpeners for about 30 bucks if you look around (amazon and ebay). They are worth it if you have serrated knives, it fits a wide range of serrations and I like them better than the tapered ones.

Thanks! I will pick one up in a couple weeks when I have a little more cash! Does the flat side work only for taking off the burr on the back side after sharpening the serrated side, or can I also use it to sharpen the blade?

Honestly if you like a fairly toothy edge you can use the Veff rod to sharpen the entire knife. It's not extra course like some of the other diamond rods. They say it's a 600 grit and that is pretty accurate compared to other diamond stones, but I think the grit is more dense on it. It will leave a toothy but sharp edge. Hit it with a strop after that and you could have a nice utilitarian everyday carry edge.

To add to this a dowel rod and wet dry sandpaper can do wonders as well. This is what I use on a good bit of serrations. But for portability and usability the Veff rod is nice.
