So I have decided to get a shot timer for some of my training drills. What is a good one that wont break the bank. Don't need anything crazy, mainly just intervals (beep every 2 seconds) and shot differentials (time between shots).

Any recommendations? Inexpensive would also be nice.

CED makes a good solid timer. The 7000 is great for personal use.

This Android app works great for dry fire, after some calibration. I haven't tried it with live fire, I suspect you would need headphones to hear the beep. IPSC Shot Timer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stimer&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zd GltZXIiXQ..)

There's an iPhone one I use that works pretty well, free of course, call Shot Timer, put out by SureFire.

+1 on the Android/iPhone App. I've used it for both dry fire and live fire. Calibration button works just fine once you figure out what means what. Talk about not breaking the bank, the price is right at FREE!!!

If you own a smartphone, you've already got a $600 computer in your pocket. Use it for more than trolling COAR-15.

Competition Electronics pocket pro 2 I got it on sale at Brownells for 110. It is over sized and seams pretty rugged. I am known to brake stuff a lot and this one is still holding strong.

iPhone ap is good for par times- but doesn't work at a range where others are shooting, and either picks up an echo as a shot or doesn't register fast bursts.

PACT3 is what I upgraded to- simple controls and has taken quite a beating- but expensive at $150.

this picks up my fastest splits and doesn't read echo or steel pings.
