Taser used on suspect Dannie Gavert Fugita, 21, of Rifle, was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Jail on Sunday on suspicion of first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and…

So I got off the phone with my friend from back home just now, I haven't talked to him in a few weeks, and he tells me this little story...

The above mentioned clipping was from his recent morning. He and his friend were still up bull shittin at 1:30 in the morning when a random guy decided that it would be a good idea to enter my friends house, and pick a fight with the two of them... My friend used to be in the 82nd, and from what he told me, the guy with him used to be a Marine. can anyone see where this is going? I guess the BG decided that it was a good morning to force entry into someone's house and get his ass beaten, and then tased by the police, twice...

Wow! I guess you really can't assume that people have common sense... or any sense at all. BG is very lucky he was able to walk away from that lesson. What a f*$#ing idiot!

nothin like being dragged into jail for your mug shot at 1:30 am with a pee stain from getting tased twice.

I'd say he is lucky that he only got tased

If it was me the dude would have a few new holes in him. He's pretty fortunate.

Yep, I'd say he's super lucky to have stayed alive.

He had his M9 in his bedroom on his night stand. He and his friend were talking at the kitchen table. When the guy came in, he came in far enough that he was already past the hallway that goes to my friends bedroom where his ready M9 and the rest of his guns were. The guy is definately luck to have came in on a day my friend didn't have his stuff available to him...

No offense, but it must've been a crappy beat down from an 82nd AND a Marine if the police still had to taze the guy afterwards....

No vids? lol.

The funny part to all of this, is my friend is one of those "it will never happen to me" kind of guys, "don't be so paranoid" and such... He said he won't give me shit now. I've always told him though, better to have and not need, than to need and not have. Now he knows exactly what I mean. Always prepared...

I will ask to get his security footage of the cops dragging the guy out of the house... His house is wired up outside.

He would have been a dead BG if he gained entry into my home.

Don't think I would've taken the chance shooting him unless he himself was armed, specially if my friend was there with me.

Man why does this stuff always happen to people who aren't prepared!

Definitely an example of the need to carry in your home. Glad it worked out well and that they were able to rough him up.

Glad your buddy is ok. Sounds like the BG might have been high on some bad stuff, since they had to taze him a couple times.

I called him back about other things, and we got back onto this subject. The BG was unarmed (lucky for my friend). They did put him down, however when they went to let the cops in (fight ended in the corner of the kitchen), the BG stumbled up. He apparently just kept coming at them and the cops, that's when the cops had to tazer him twice, because the first one just stunned the guy a little.

I was a little late in asking him to post up his security footage on youtube for us because it runs in 48hr loops... Oh well...

I don't carry in my home myself, but my doors are always locked behind us (this is actually because of my x-wife), and there is a gun in literally almost every corner of my house (so to speak)...

So was his door locked? You said the guy forced entry.

I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't in the 82nd nor was I a Marine but if that were me the cops wouldn't have to taze him when they arrived.

100% of home invasions happen in the house, usually your own.

Who has the signature line quoting Byte? Paraphrased - I carry at home because if there is a home invasion, that is where it will happen.

Glad your friend and his friend are safe.

Life is a little like the Spanish Inquisition : )

Be safe.
