Really pisses me off!!!
After being injured on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, Lt. Augustine Kim spent the night in a D.C. jail for possessing unregistered guns.

These laws were the case long before Obama. Before Clinton, even.

i thought that DC had actually stolen Injured Vets. Then I read the story. Stole the Vets guns. that makes much more sense.
the guns they listed didnt come anywhere close to 10,000 in cost.
one Colt Carbine AR15 rifle 6920 5.56/.223, a Beretta 92S in 9mm, a custom Springfield Armory 1911 in .45 caliber and some spare parts.
I am sure he is out over $10,000 in travel, time and attorneys fees though.
Well he did fix up 1911s, so they could have factored in his profit margin, and the Custom 1911 could easily run about 1000-2000 depending on what he had on it.
I still think this is total BS, I hear about this too much and it seems like the general public is already too brainwashed to give a damn about honest gun owners getting the shaft when it comes to seizure.

These laws were the case long before Obama. Before Clinton, even.
I was sure the US Supreme Court struck down these unconstitutional laws. I guess Obama is more concerned about homosexuals getting married than protecting our Constitutional rights. You can keep guns in your home in DC, but you can't transport them? How the hell can you get a gun home, if you can't transport them in the city? And yes, Obama could change all this bullshit.

Oh, gee, thank you. I wasn't aware that Heller had passed in reality.
It's not Obama's job to go righting wrongs everywhere. That is what the court system is for.

District of Columbia v. Heller
Quoted from wikipedia
Amicus curiae briefs
A majority of the members of Congress (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Congress)[23] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_v._Heller#cite_note-washingtonpost1-22) signed the brief authored by Stephen P. Halbrook advising that the case be affirmed overturning the ban on handguns not otherwise restricted by Congress.[24] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_v._Heller#cite_note-Halbrook-23) Vice President (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vice_President_of_the_United_States) Dick Cheney (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Cheney) joined in this brief, acting in his role as President of the United States Senate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_of_the_United_States_Senate), and breaking with the George W. Bush (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush) administration's official position.[23] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_v._Heller#cite_note-washingtonpost1-22) Then Republican candidate for President and Arizona Senator John McCain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain) also signed the brief. Democratic candidate, the Illinois Senator Barack Obama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama) did not.[25] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_v._Heller#cite_note-presidential_candidates-24)

The Heller decision allows DC residents to legally possess registered firearms inside their home.
Possession of any firearm or ammunition in DC is still, and has been for decades, illegal.
No the laws of every jurisdiction you go to or through if you travel with guns.
Cops enforce the laws, they don't create the laws.
Be safe.
