They say he is backpedaling after his comments but from what I head he pretty much stood his ground:

Don't know why he felt the need to apologize. He said what about 60+% of Americans feel.

depressing in that comments made by O's supporters are emotional and not of sound reasoning. I don't care about the birth cert issue as it's never going to change the fact O is in office. What concerns me is the bashing by dems / liberals all come down to saying anyone who does not support O is a racist.

I don't know why he thought he had to apologize either. That is a the problem with politicians, they never stand their ground. If you're going to apologize just keep your yap shut in the first place. Tells me he wasn't thinking about what he was saying.

Those people are idiots. They call everything racism because they cannot speak to the facts, they cannot articulate a thought so they do the easiest, most shallow thing.

Either speak your mind, or don't. But don't recall your initial comments and issue a "written apology" that is completely contradictory to what your original thoughts were. Say it, stand the F up and hold your ground! Politicians are so stinkin quick to back track once they find out it might have "tarnished their image".
+1, there is nothing to apologize for in my opinion. It is sad to see that this kind of messaging is trying to be silenced. I wish he would stand by his statement!
If you can't stand behind what you say, then you shouldn't stand at all.
Ball less.

I actually cannot say it any better! This is pretty much my new motto in life! Well put! [Beer]
Liberals are dumb, you should see some of the comments on this story on 9News' Facebook page... I'm almost ashamed to be a Coloradan anymore with all these d-bag libtards. [Bang]
