Basically they are petitioning that Bush pardon these two guys. They shot an illegal immigrant with a few tons of drugs in his truck as he was running the border, they thought he was pulling out his gun so they shot him and hit him in the butt. Now they have been convicted of wrong doing and both will go to prison for over two decades. These guys were doing what needed to be done, sign the petition and make sure you let anyone that might care know.

This is what I got in my e-mail when I signed the petition... pretty much explaines it all. It includes the link to where you sign the petition.

"Two U.S. Border Patrol Agents have been sentenced to a
decade long prison terms for apprehending an illegal
alien at our border!

Almost as outrageous is that the illegal alien drug
smuggler, who was given immunity for testifying against
the agents is now suing the U.S. for $5 million, claiming
he was permanently injured!

I have just signed a petition calling for the President
to pardon these two Border Agents and I’m asking you to
join with me by clicking here for the full story and the petition:

Thanks!"

If this could get stickyed that would be cool, it's for a good cause... we need more men like these guys, we shouldnt be sending them to jail.

Then click on the 2 boxes so they can't send you more junk.

I saw this a while back. I clicked the boxes and still got more emails every day until I unsubscribed. Great cause, bad execution.

While I personally agree that the punishment did not fit the crime in this case...there is (like always) a little more to the story.

These "good" guys tried to cover up the incident ...as in not reporting it

So they dug their hole...and unfortunately they ran afoul of the mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines

Reportedly, the judge on the case felt felt bad, but her hands were tied on the sentencing
