View Full Version : Leupold M4 CQT
Bought a Leupold CQT new for my AR. Tried to sight it in first with a bore scope and then at the range. No matter what I do the rounds hit the target at 1:00 and about 10 inches off the bullseye. I just sent it back to Leupold. Anyone experience this on any scopes??
Thanks
So even after adjusting it it was still hitting in the same spot like the adjustments wernt working?
Leupold will do you right and take care of you on it.
Thats correct. I'm looking forward to seeing what they find.
You sure you didn't max out the adjustments of the scope?

I have done this, had to buy special bases from leupold that helped with eindage adjustment
Probably windage adjustable rings like the Burris Signature rings. Or if it is an elevation problem, shimming the rings where they mount also works.
Both elevation and windage are a problem. The gun shoots 10" high and hits at 1:00 no matter what. I tried to bore sight it at 40 yards and couldn't even get close.
Got the scope back from Leupold. There were a few things wrong with it that they corrected. They reworked the erector system and replaced the adjustment elevation. They also did a complete mechanical and internal inspection.
No charge.
I'm heading to the range in the morning so we'll see how it shoots.
Glad that they took care of you.
Mounted the sight yesterday and bore sighted it. Took about 1 minute. I'll take it to the range in the morning and report back.
Looks to be fixed since I was able to adjust windage and elevation.

That's cool that they took care of it without a hassle but I would expect better quality control from a company like Leupold.
I was sort of suprised myself. The lifetime warranty is what sold me. This was a good experience so far aside from the issues that I encountered.
Just back from the range. Took about 12 shots to walk it in at 75 yards. Then...put 10 shots in the 10 ring. I'd say they fixed the problem.
Thanks Leupold and thanks to the folks on this forum for their suggestions and help.
Glad to hear its all fixed
