So, my wife is out of town for a few days so I set myself a little schedule to get some things done around the house and leave myself some time on Saturday morning to get out and do a little shooting. Figures it would be just my luck I wake up and find it raining on my shooting day.

not sure where you were heading but its not raining in Evergreen yet. They said it should break so maybe re-arrange your day and shoot this afternoon.

Didnt have any shooting in the schedule this weekend...damnit :-( but I did have a couple tones of landscaping rock delivered late yesterday afternoon. Up at 7am to get started on moving it into place and sure as hell its raining in Aurora...AWESOME!!! Hope you get some range time in Ray

rain or shine.... heck even in 10 inch snow... it won't stop me from my planned outing of shooting.

I'd join you, but I need to save the $$$$ for something I need (new scope).

Hope you get out there! Enjoy and shoot safe!

Sorry to hear that Ray, but on the other hand, I like waking up to the sound of thunder and rain.

Shooting in the rain is great training!
Nothing better than the rain dripping off your kevlar down on the sights!! :D

Actualy I find it good practice,it sharpens my shooting discipline and tightens my groups for the sunny days :)

Just oil down your weapon and go have at it ;)

Nothing like lighting off that first roud of quals and getting clp sprayed in your eyes in the rain.

That crossed my mind but tomorrows plan was yard work. Can't very well cut the grass in the rain. [Coffee]

Screw the weather. I went anyways. The rain wasn't much of a factor. The cold and the wind was a bit annoying. The worst part was probably the mud. It's not often I get to use my four wheel drive this time of the year. I did leave my headlights on and totally killed my battery. Luckily someone was kind enough to help me out with a jump start.

Put some more rounds through my Filipino 1911. Found out I shoot a Glock 30 better than a 1911. Fired about 20 rounds through my wife's .22 rifle. I have brought it to the range with me probably the last three or four trips but have always talked myself out of shooting it and just brought it back home unfired. Almost did that again today but decided at the last minute to put a few rounds through it.

Now, off to clean the 1911.
