View Full Version : Anyone going to the Crossroads?
Anyone going to the Crossroads show this weekend? If the weather (and the roads) clears up I'm going to try on Sat. Bet there will be a bunch of empty tables though!

 I will probably go, it's only a couple miles fom home.
I will be there looking for an M1, spare AR parts, and a crapload of AR mags! Oh yeah...and another LPK. I know, I know....I'm not expecting to find an acceptable deal on an M1 but heres to hoping!

I'll be going. Miwall should be there, no matter the weather. All that ammo has to give them great traction!
I'm planning on going Sunday but may go Saturday, too.
I'll be there Sat. if I can get through on the highway.

Last show they held in November I bought one of their 1,000 packs of .40 S&W. It came in a genuine GI ammo can (as opposed to the plastic ones they pack the 500 round bulk ammo in).
I consider that to be gift wrap! Actually the plastic ones are, too. I use them to keep boxed ammo in my locker at the club.
When I have enough of these I'll use one to hold expended brass instead of big plastic bags.

[detective] I bought 200 reloads from a local guy at the last show for $34, after picking through it I had 5 rounds that were too damaged to trust. But every thing I shot went bang when I pulled the trigger so it still was a good deal for blaster ammo. [calvin]

Miwall sells both new and reload bulk ammo. I tend to pay a little more and buy the new made bulk. Bright and shiny, clean all over.
In the .40 S&W you will find that the primer isn't all that sensitive. Some of my pistols that have had their actions worked on don't always strike hard enough to set off the primers on the bulk ammo in .40 S&W. I didn't have a noticable problem with the 9mm but at the time I may not have had any 9s that had action work done.

If I thought someone would have a case or two of S&B 45, I would go. The last two times I tried, they said they sold all they had in Salt Lake City.
The rest of the show is getting so small, because it has so much cr@p in it, it’s hardly worth going any more.

Miwall was not at the show today as an fyi... I was hoping to stock up on some 10mm.
It was close to 40% flea market crap again. I didn't see anything other than a couple of rifle cases that called out to me.. ahhh well
Gotta agree with BadShot. Lotta junk, not much ammo, Mags were overpriced. Ba Humbug!
Better prices online for most stuff. Course I still managed to spend enough to be in the Doghouse again!
Gearhead where were you?

OUCH!
Without Miwall there isn't a lot of motivation to go, though I may still roll over to see if anyone's having a "I made it through the go**am snow, so buy something" sale.

Not to spoil your eating but you may want to give Mountain Man the heave ho next time.
When I was there in November working the CSSA booth one of the other CSSA members had purchased from him and had made a comment about his possibly becoming a CSSA business member. The response of the Mountain Man rep who was doing that sale was that he didn't believe in guns.
Now, that being said Mountain Man is a franchise if I'm not mistaken. It could be that it's not the same person at all shows. It could be just one franchiser. I don't know. I just figure that I can spend my money elsewhere until I know which side of the fence they are on.
You don't want to help me with my rights I don't want to help you with your business!
Any hint as to whether or not Miwall was planning on being there on Sunday?

Very disapointing as far as shows go, the kids did pick up to toy machine guns, they were happy.

I wrote to Miwall after noticing no Colorado show dates on their 2007 calendar.
They were held back from the January show by weather and they have corrected their website to reflect their Colorado show dates. Next one is the March Crossroads.
