This happened real close to home. I walk my dog on the trail that runs right by here. The parking lot this went down in is parking for the trail. I always carry when walking this trail and if I was there I have been wondering what I would have done.

I'd step in. But hopefully I'd be able to be carrying. As long as it doesn't happen with me in the vicinity till July.

Something tells me that 3 street punks probably wouldn't be a major issue for you, but a sidearm would be nice to have...

IMO
If you observe a property crime, call it in and observe while on the line with a dispatcher. Continue to observe as long as you do not endanger yourself or others by doing so.
If you observe a violent crime against another human being, each person needs to assess the circumstances and their own abilities before making a decision on what to do. Sometimes that decision only takes a fraction of a second to make.
There are times when even the boldest and strongest are powerless to help.
Stay safe.
Assess and attack. I stumbled upon a similar incident with 1 homeless guy getting the shit kicked out of him by 2 college age guys. Yeah my eye got kicked in pritty good, but they were smart enough to gimp away and know it wasn't worth it. Other people may have handled it differently, but I was more than willing to take a risk just for some stranger.

I chased down a mugger once, i was much younger then,
On another note it sounds like the old lady needs to trade her service dog for a watch dog

The picture of the second guy is priceless!
If convicted, and that is by no means a forgone conclusion to these arrests, the young thugs will be sent to an all expense training camp for better prepared, educated, and experienced criminal activities. Many prisons are the equivalent to college for criminals.
I don't have a solution, but I regret that Georgia and Australia are no longer what they were intended to be when they were founded [Flower]
Cool Hand Luke as an option looks better and better every year. Perhaps farmers and ranchers could use some publicly fed and supervised laborers for less expense than they now pay to undocumented aliens. Just a thought.
The first picture the guy has a smirk you just want to smack off................second guy looks a little scared....................... [Coffee]

If they were brandishing a gun, that would be easy! Shoot!!

Very, very well said. 100% agreed.

The first guy realizes that it's cool to go to prison now a days. [Bang]
I definitely would not be interviewed and allow my face to be seen on TV. He came out of a nearby gym...Wouldn't take too long for the bad guys to stake out the place and pick him out. Paybacks are double.
Back when I was 18(7 years ago), my friend and I stopped a lady in her 20's from being kidnapped in a parking lot. Luckily a cop drove by a couple seconds after it happened and we flagged him down. While we were giving our statements about what happened the cop informed us the guy they arrested had a gun in the car. We were lucky, you just never know these days. However, I dont think I could sit by and watch some lady get her a$$ beat or anyone else for that matter without stepping in, I just hope I'm packing if a situation like that happens again (im mainly hoping it doesnt happen again). If I was just witnessing property damage i would call it in and wait for the police and let them do what they are paid and trained to do!
