There's a rail on the front right without anything attached. What's wrong with that guy?

Yet you're selling an Arsenal with a quad rail on it in the FS section?

Man... bet that thing is a dream to shoot...

... bet I can hit steel at a thousand yards with that beast...

okay.. maybe not... what's with the two red dots on that thing anyway?

jreifsch80
05-23-2012, 05:48
Probably a red dot and magnifier lol my thoughts if you want an ak pattern rifle for a dmr get an m76 or psl they're already heavy and accept optics. If you want a cqb ak build an m92, convert a Draco or build an aks-74u those are all very nice and compact. The worst thing that can be done with any rifle (ar or ak) is to try to make it fill too many roles

He didnt even move the fcg forward? If that is worth $600 I have to stop doing proper conversions.

I never noticed the fcg still in stock location. Seems like all these guns shows with saigas make everyone think they can do it.

anyone that can operate a dremel can do a saiga rear end conversion lol

I did one as a display model so its got a few doo dads because it seems like people are more interested in the "tactical" versions than the good old fashioned wood stocked original.

Sorry bout the crappy pic.

man... not me. I highly prefer a Saiga (or any AK for that matter) wearing a good, quality set of wood. It's just "right" to me.

I'm a little bit of a purist, I like ak74's and akm's with wood but ak74m's with plum and ak100's with black (though a 5.45 saiga looks nice dressed as a soviet ak74)

Nice saiga by the way

thanks. I put the 74 stock on that one cause of the 74 style brake and the 90 degree gas block (and there was no folder built in). I thought it would match better then an AKM set.

Here's a Saiga AK103 clone I had in the past... I liked this one in black. (The fella I bought it from had 74 wood on this and a metal triangle folder.) It was the most perfect clone I have owned... even down to the extra "Y" stamp.

(this is about as tactical as I get with my AKs). This thread is making me miss all my past AKs. All I have now is a Krink.

I like the 103 too, I did like how you put 74 wood on that saiga, it looks more natural with the 74 barrel parts than an akm set would look ;)

I understand both sides on this...

my AK is tacticool (as you guys would put it, i refer to it fondly as "COD'ed" lol) and I did it purely because it was different. it's a very cheap AK, with cheap tapco stuff on it, and I like the way it looks...

that said, i LOVE the way a smooth wood stock looks too. but since my cheap century came with plastic on it already, I didnt think that I should put a nice wood set on there lol.. I will just own both eventually ;)

Yeah... you don't want to know what I paid for that 74 stock. All wood was brand new old stock, never fitted to a rifle before. Probably sitting in some warehouse in Russia for years, just waiting to make an appearance!
