View Full Version : My First AR Build (pistol/SBR)

Just finished my first AR build. I havent shot it yet, but I am going out tomorrow to range test it. Here are the specs:

LMT 10.5" milspec upper
DPMS stripped lower
DPMS LPK
Ranier Arms milspec BCG
VLTOR charging handle with BCM mod 4 latch
Magpul MOE+ grip
Magpul handguard
Spikes pistol buffer tube
Spikes buffer spring
Spikes ST-T2 buffer
YHM flip-up rear BUIS
Midwest Industries sling attachment
Primary Arms Micro T-1 clone red dot
American Defense T-1 QD riser mount (lower 1/3 cowitness)

I am in the the process of filling out a Form 4 for SBR and will add a Daniel Defense stock extension tube and a Magpul ACS-L stock.

You can, with a little budgeting, and patience. All 5 of my AR builds and a Saiga-12 conversion o far have been peice by peice. I just set aside a little each paycheck to get one part at a time.

You get much more familiar with your weapon, and it turns out how you want it and it is not like any other.

Great looking Pistol! They are fun to shoot!

Exactly. I put this one together for pretty cheap as I waited for parts to go on sale and bought them a little at a time. It was really easy to assemble and a fun process too.

Form 4 or form 1? Are you making an SBR or buying a complete rifle?

I built this gun from stripped lower so I believe that requires a Form 4 to legally put a stock on it.
