Hi,
new member, looking to move to the Boulder-ish area. I will have my AR's with me as the state I am in says leaving them with a relative is a felony
I need to find a place to store them at as I will be between homes, and do not want to have my AR's in a hotel.

Any advice on a store or something to store them at?

Thanks

Erni.

PS This is way to cool! A site dedicated to AR's just in Colorado!!

welcome aboard

If you're not happy with the way things where you are now, I'd suggest someplace other than Boulder.

where to leave your stuff? donno. no trusted familiy or friends in the area?

you may be able to find a dealer that'll hold them for you.

Welcome to the forums!

If you think Berkeley, CA is really cool, you'll like Boulder. Boulder, 280,000 people surrounded by reality.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boulder,_Colorado

Politically, Boulder is more liberal than most of Colorado. Boulder County, which includes Boulder's more conservative suburbs, is 37% Democratic, 27% Republican, and 36% independent. [8] Although in Denver, Democrats hold a virtual monopoly over city politics, Boulder gains more attention for being Colorado's liberal enclave with nicknames like "The Berkeley of the Rockies" and "The People's Republic of Boulder".

Boulder is where work is, I would prefer to live by Longmont, but we will see. The problem is that my current states law is writen such that if I leave my AW with a relative, we are commiting felonies!!!! [bs]

I am having trouble finding a dealer or range to keep them at in CO, so I am thinking strip the AR's down to the reciever with only the tube and internals, no grip, and take them with me, that way they will be very inconspicuous (sp?).

I have a simple solution get a safety deposit box at a local bank and put your toys in that. You can't get more secure than that.

Also check out Louisville and Lafayette. I just moved from Boulder to Lafayette and am very happy I did so far.

As far as your AR's I would definitely check into HunterCO's idea of the safety deposit box.

Are you using a relocation service or do you need a realtor? If you need a Boulder realtor I can’t recommend this guy enough. www.davefish.com/ tell him Ken sent you

BTW the company you are working for in Boulder doesn’t need any mechanical engineers does it?

Dude don't let them tell you Boulder is that bad. I mean, I **AM** selling my home and moving to Longmont, but Boulder is NOWHERE NEAR what Berkeley is politically.

Having lived in the (L)East Bay for 12 years I have first hand knowledge of it. Boulder isn't weird either - man you folks need to hang out on the Haight (which isn't that weird anymore either).

Anyway Boulder is mostly an upper middle class town, fairly well monied and fairly left-leaning. Boulder also has some of the largest private firearms collections in the state (ask Ross).

There are parts of Boulder - Mapleton - which look like Presidio (pricey SF neighborhood) and the prices for real estate are close too - comparatively.

Anyway, 'taint that bad. But I'm leaving. And hey I'll gladly hold your poodle shooters and make sure that they don't get too cold or bored :)

Don't forget palidin press.

You may consider selling your AR's there, they may be worth more than a brand new one here.

If your wanting the boulder area, look at broomfield, it's right next door and the streets are laid out just as backwards [poke]
