Sounds as if Sheriff Joe is about to piss off a lot of folks.
He wants a real birth certificae for obummer and if not, will not
have him on the ballot in November

I don't agree with everything Sheriff Joe does but the man does stick to his convictions... Good for him!

I agree, I like the guy, but I think whether he gets the birth certificate or not, he is gonna lose that game.

To be POTUS, one only needs to win a majority in the Electoral College. Arizona is not a crucial state in presidential elections because it does not have many electoral votes. To be the POTUS there are really about 15 states that you need to win by a majority vote. Those states have enough electoral votes to put any candidate over the top. States like California, Texas, New York, and Florida are the gold standard for most presidential elections.

Actually, in theory one would only have to carry 11 states to receive the 271 electoral votes necessary to become president..

Wouldn't mind it if he keeps looking. Some of that stuff looks pretty suspicious. On the other hand, I'm wondering if a forged copy was put out to get people to focus too much on it so they bring the real one out just before the election to prove how racist Republicans are...

He's not taking any action in any county other than Maricopa County. They're just in Hawaii looking for the bc.
ETA: This will probably only affect Maricopa County if Arpaio doesn't get sufficient proof. Unless he is working for the state and his findings affect the other counties.

You missed the part where the AZ secretary of state (Ken Bennett) has suspended putting BHO on the state ballot until he sees proof that doesn't look forged.

It appears that Bennett has backed down. Allegedly Hawaii provided sufficient proof to Bennett to verify BO.
Ha! More likely Bennetts family was threatened by EH & Co...

Bloomberg sends his goon squads to other states to commit straw purchases of firearms in violation of federal law.
Don't really see where Arpaio's people are breaking the law.

I think the 'birthers' need to quit this BS... it's not going to budge anything loose. What they need to do is go after the fact that BHO is ineligible to be on the ballot because both of his parents were not citizens (a requirement to run for the office of POTUS). I remember reading that Sheriff Joe was going to check that out, since Obamination's daddy wasn't a US Citizen (not born here, but CITIZEN is required of both parents at time of birth to be eligible to run for Prez).

Article 2 of the US Constitution doesn't say anything about a potential president's parents being US citizens.

There was a legal method... but I believe they needed the AZ SoS to pull it off. Hawaii didn't have to cooperate, but AZ didn't have to put BHO on the ballot if they didn't. Request had to be related to official business (verifying eligibility would, but has to come from SoS)
I agree that the BC is a moot point- it comes down to is he a natural-born citizen, but no court wants to hear the argument as to how exactly that's defined.

The secretary of state received verification of Obama's real birth certificate from Hawaii, today.
