I was by myself on the way back up there and fell asleep. My only major injury is a compression fracture in my spine. Im up and around, just have wear a back brace for 10-12 weeks. Dont sleep and drive.

Best wishes on recovery from the injury. I lost a good friend in the Navy from falling asleep. I've 'almost' fallen asleep behind the wheel. Now I know my limits and keep a good blanket and pillow on the drives. Scary stuff. Glad you're ok.

That'll buff right out.

It's good to hear you'll bounce back. Chevrolet builds a tough truck, but not quite that tough.[abused]

Friends don't let friends drive asleep.

Good to hear it wasn't too bad.
Could have been a LOT worse.

Not strong enough to fly through 8" concrete walls with the greatest of ease ?
Does anyone think I will be sent a bill to repair the wall ?

when my friend had a front tire on his semi blow and he went off the road, they charged him $1,150.00 total, $700.00 for cones and traffic control, $450.00 for asphalt and labor. and that was just to patch the groove that it left on I-25. good thing for insurance, they covered it. so I would say yes, the bill will be in the mail.

I just took a defensive driver class saturday and you are VERY lucky to be alive. That is a scary situation and I am glad you made it out. Good luck. [blackeye]

wow, glad your ok.

Atleast you didn't go into oncoming traffic.

My step sister pulled that one off. She met a semi and was airlifted out. She's lucky to have lived.

Years ago I buried a boyhood friend who died when the driver of the car he was in fell asleep. Glad to hear you're OK.

I fell asleep in Yellowstone Park once. I think I got hypnotized by the light shining through the Lodgepole pines strobing on the windshield. Luckily the wife caught the wheel. Took years before I lived that down.
