I have bought buckets at a donut shop before. They were pretty cheap and came with lids. The jelly filling come in 5 Gal. buckets so you may find them in other types of bakerys too. Good luck.

I was recently in the Re Store near Wads And Quincy and they had maybe 50 bakery buckets and lids for sale...previously used for frosting. I didn't catch the price but since it's basically Goodwill for building supplies I suspect they were VERY cheap.

I contacted Bird Dog BBQ awhile back. I got a reply saying that the girl that handled it would email. She never did and I haven't had a chance to follow up.

Yup I posted that, and it was Bird Dog BBQ. This is what they posted back on May 4th:

We have lots of 5-gallon FOOD GRADE buckets with lids (containing gaskets) available for sale. The buckets have labels on them and they smell like pickles but both obstacles be "cleaned" away with some elbow grease. The buckets are extremely heavy-duty, almost all have plastic handles (otherwise metal), and they are handy for all kinds of things. Buckets (with gasket lids) like these cost between $7-$10 when brand new...we are asking $2
E-mail me at birddog@birddogbbq.com to ask questions or make arrangements. ;)
