Just a innocent person that meant no harm. How could you shoot them, why would you even own a gun.

I really hope this drunk chick learns that she will be accountable for your actions.

I see protests coming.

I'm with Ron on this one... I would pump her full of something that is not lead... Sorry for the vulgarity, but its is Friday before a holiday though.[Poke]

I wonder how easily/badly that could be turned around to a male homeowner.

"All I did was enter the wrong house, because I was so drunk. I could have gotten date raped by any number of guys at the party I was at, but I was "responsible."

I wasn't too far down the street there the other night... I tell ya (our members who live there aside) Boulder folks are some strange people... Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Does anyone remember the guy who came home drunk to the wrong house, started beating on the door. The home owner loaded up his shotgun, the drunk dude broke the window and came in and got shot? I can't find the link right now, but for some reason I think it was on the west side of the Denver metro.

My favorite line from the DA; "We see this pretty frequently." Apparently a similar home intrusion happened on Thursday. Boulder is really a happening place. Bar hopping to house hopping. Alcohol is a mind altering substance.

Be safe.

This situation (sort of - without the shooting) happened to a old neighbor of mine. I live in a older neighborhood so a lot of these houses are rentals for college students near CSU. Anyway, a college party was going on down the street, a guy got so drunk he just walked in to my neighbors house (roughly in his 70's) and fell asleep on the couch. My neighbor didn't shoot him and I'm not so sure he even knew he got in. The ambulance and officers came in the morning and took him away. Could have been a lot worse I suppose (for both parties).

They're charging her with criminal trespassing.

Oh man.. the guy should say he was in his boxers and felt violated.

Medical bills and a criminal record. Mom and Dad will be so proud. I hope she has a good summer job to pay the bills. I am actually glad that no one was seriously injured and that the justice system worked correctly.

Interesting how the DC goes to great lengths to humanize the "ultra-perky" blonde. How "out of it" do you have to be to ignore people yelling at you?

What was Rule #4 again?

Not a good situation and I'm betting it will get worse.

I know you are supposed to identify your target first but I may have shot in the same situation.

The Denver CBS affiliate reports that the wife realized the intruder was not a raccoon when their bedroom door opened in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. They yelled and warned for the intruder to leave. When the person continued toward them, the husband fired a shot.

When the lights were flipped on, it revealed a woman unknown to them.

Boulder folks are some strange people...

Find one person registering a .2% (not .02, but .2) that isn't a little odd. I'm not going to argue that this town has it's share of oddity but completely drunk 21 year olds have a whole lot in common, be it Boulder, Hamburg, or Tokyo.

The target was correctly identified. An unknown intruder in their home.

Guy jumped my railing and sat down on our porch last weekend. Me flipping on the light, opening the blinds and screaming at him didn't even phaze him. He never even acknowledged me.

A few updates.

Ms. Ulta-Perky has been arrested for shoplifting. Not condemning her for that, just putting it out there.
Evidently the homeowners were stalked by a psycho female about twenty years ago.
Boulder County way over inflates the value of it's properties.

They said incidents like this happen once a month in Boulder. Those Boulder kids can't handle their liquor. Least she didn't didn't end up in some sex offenders home, he would have thought it was xmas![ROFL1]

This is why identifying your target is so important, even in the dead of night. When they're hot and blackout drunk you don't SHOOT THEM! Duh!! Sheesh. I mean seriously folks.

The police got called and his friends showed up to get him off the porch. Nothing really happened, but it was irritating.
