I thought we needed a "Your dream firearm" thread.
It can be a rifle, shotgun, NFA item, pistol or another "firearm"
Only rule is that it has to be a firearm that is possible to
purchase for the "average" person and to obtain through legal means.
Im posting pics of my full on dream rifle...........

Phalanx C.W.I.S. since we are getting into weapons systems that we probably
couldn't ever own legally and functionally.
One for the front 1/2 of the house and then one in the reear 1/2 of the house. to have overlapping fields of fire.
*****Neat little piece of trivia, the Phalanx has NEVER failed in any engagements in testing. The only reason it has
ever failed in the real world was due to the complex mechanical and electrical systems that operatie it.******
http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb116/DD977GM2/Phalanx_CIWS_small.jpg http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb116/DD977GM2/Phalanx_CIWS_small_01.jpg
Our Fire Controlmen (FC) a couple of times while in port or at sea, not in a combat environment,
would still stay up troubleshooting and repairing the "Sea Chicken" until she was up and running
and would not rest until it was up and running. We had some bada** FCs and had a lot of respect
for themover the other FCs and felt c onfident that in the times we would need the Phalanx, that
they would come through for the ship.

I was under the impression that we were talking about real and civilian obtainable* dream weapons. Otherwise I claim a fully outfitted Virginia class sub complete with nukes.
* I will note that there is exactly one (1) Mark 19 that is legal to own as a civilian. It was the original (Serial number 1) and the paperwork is such that it is fully transferable. The last price I saw on it was 600k. If/When I win the big time lottery it is mine.

NOW we're talking! A suppressed M1 carbine or a DeLisle, and I'd be a happy man. A repro DeLisle from Valkyrie Arms would be just fine.
Would it be possible/legal for someone to build a suppressed M1 Carbine just like that one above?

Put me down for a DeLislie too (even the less authentic looking replica Special Interest Arms makes (http://specialinterestarms.com/index.php?page=enfield_conversions)).
Or for that matter a .45acp or 9x19 AR with an integrated suppressor would make for a real cool modern DeLislie like carbine.
Also, I want one of these (http://nighthawktactical.com/PredatorIII.html)... only in 10mm. (I'd settle for a T3 UCC)
http://nighthawktactical.com/predator/nh-predatoriii_7_xl.jpg
Would it be possible/legal for someone to build a suppressed M1 Carbine just like that one above?
Should be a piece of cake ... very expensive cake.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be legal (just need to get the proper paperwork) and I can't see any technical reason it wouldn't work. I know I've seen integrally suppressed Ruger PC9s and Marlin Camp Carbines. Only downside I can think of is that .30 Carbine is generally supersonic so it wouldn't be as quiet as a 9mm or .45acp.

Oh, good point. I hadn't thought about that. I'd still love to have a Valkyrie DeLisle.

Awesome, how do you like it?
Finally got it out to the range a few weeks ago and hands down the softest recoiling .45 I've ever shot. Accurate easily out to 100m with irons, I'll get an optic on it sooner or later, but shooting just irons confirmed for me that it really is the leap forward in recoil control and operation that KRISS professes it to be.
Sadly, I was using ammo from someone I hadn't bought from before (usually a pure 10x or new Federal advocate) but, I was already hurting pretty bad from limping around the flea market, errr gun show, so I took a chance. Well that chance caused numerous FTF, FTE's primarily because of setbacks.
The worst part of the trip was the round that went Kaboom in the mag well before fully riding into the chamber. Other than what felt like a really hard hand slap, and a significant crack in the poly frame around the mag well.. and a truly trashed mag, everyone was OK.
So I'll be having a very serious discussion with the ammo guy I purchased it from at the next show. KRISS CS, just flat rocks. Granted it's about 30 days to get it back, but they are going to replace the lower and make sure the upper is still safe, if needed replacing that as well.
Video here and some more pictures of the mag. Pay attention to the shots of the mag and ammo.. the setbacks are very obvious!

Still, even despite the KB, I managed to get I'd suspect around 300 rounds down range on the first outing. Targets from 5m out to about 90m (uphill) and a lot of chase the target with 2 of us shooting the same spent 2 liter bottle.. the KRISS is faster back on target than even a good pistol shooter.
Despite the malfunction... purely ammo related, the gun is an amazing design and wonderful to shoot. The only complaint I have is the magazine prices and the limited accessories options. Given that the platform is slowly making its way into LE and the Civi market, that is to be expected. At least the base magazine is a Glock 21 mag. Add on the Kriss designed extension bodies to the mags you may already have keeps the cost at about $35 for the extended body, then you can find G21 mags under $20 if you watch for the deals.
If you've been looking for a sub-caliber gun, and don't want to deal with the HK BS (I don't support HK in any way shape or form if I can avoid it) or if you can find a Tommy gun or other .45 sub gun, I'll still pit the KRISS Super V against them every day of the week.
Still want the SBR version... maybe even enough to finally make the move on the stamp.
Look for a more detailed review of the KRISS after I get it back from them and run another 500 rounds through it.
So is this a dream gun, for me, it still is. I'm a AR addict and I know it, but I've been expanding into some more unique platforms in the last few years and the KRISS has to be my favorite non-AR carbine, closely followed by my MSAR-E4
