There was a 2 hour special on mermaids on Animal Planet tonight. Did anyone else watch it? It was decently put together, but the whole thing could very easily be fake. The cell phone video footage at the end was the most disappointing part. I'm sure it was just a recreation, but it was over done.

Referring to that comedian on Conan the other night?

I thought this was a cool show, but I think they fleshed it out a little too much with the CGI mermaids and the back story of the aquatic apes theory of evolution.

I watched it. I thought it was really disappointing. Not much scientific evidence or proof of anything. Kind of came across as a big hoax to me. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. Fortunately, there wasn't much else on the tube last night.

That's what I thought as well, but of course it was all easily explained by the government confiscating every thing.

I thought the video suppossedly shot at the military base was fake as hell too.

You would have loved this one house in COS that Zombie Steve showed my wife and I a couple weeks ago. It was so darn unicorny...
