Negative. But I did hear a funny joke:
What's the hardest 4 years of a marine's life?
I can not have that honor from being in the Army.
But I did have the Honor of going to a Marine Corps Ball with a good buddy of mine as a guest.I just kept my mouth shut as being in the Army- I like my nose!!!:D
Actualy it was real fun!!By the end of the night and a few pitchers later they forgave the fact I was Army :)

Well knowing the AF as I do, I'm sure you just qualified for a medal or badge of some sort by posting a joke in the internet.

Yeah, a three star had to write a letter to tell everybody to shut up and color because people were so pissed. More at the process than at the chick who received the award. But still.
A recent AF Times ran her story and Bradley Smith's. Smith's ROMAD, SrA Malarsie received the same award as her, but all he did was get blown up, lost his eyesight, and continued to fight in every way possible until help arrived. But yeah she deserves the BSM.
For those of you not familiar:

I think it looks more like a postal worker's uniform, but that's just MHO. We don't have the bus driver hats anymore.

A buddy of mine that I deployed with were talking a few days ago about the fact that you can deploy to these areas and go the whole time just sitting on a base. We were there right at the beginning and slept in holes and these days they have McDonald's and run marathons in country. It's so weird to me.

Whats the difference between a Marine and a submarine?
There isnt one. A Navy boy will go down on either.

We had 2 Navy guys going at it in the captains lifeboat get caught. The captain wasn't too pleased.

I think that guy is a JTAC, not a glorified air traffic controller who more than likely prefers the company of other gentlemen.

So there's a difference between going down "with" the ship and going down "on" the ship.

I've never heard of the A-10 referred to as Marine killers. Care to elaborate?
ETA: The worst incident of CAS friendly fire that I can find involving Marines and a USAF A-10 seems to have occurred in Nasiriya. It was a Marine JTAC (a captain) that was controlling the A-10.
According to the Pentagon’s own investigation released in early 2004, the mistake, made by a Marine forward air controller, resulted in a US A-10 Warthog attacking the US Marine vehicles. The A-10, from a Pennsylvania Air National Guard unit, targeted and destroyed the AAV with at least one and possibly two Maverick missiles according to the A-10 pilot’s account of the ill-fated attack. The name of the A-10 pilot, has never been made public nor has the name of the Marine forward air controller code-named MOUTH.
A report released Monday by U.S. Central Command recommends disciplinary action against a U.S. Marine Corps captain who called in airstrikes on his fellow Marines in the deadliest "friendly fire" incident of the Iraq war.
Eighteen Marines were killed during a battle March 23, 2003, in Nasiriya. But because some of the bodies had been hit by both U.S. and Iraqi weapons, investigators could confirm only eight deaths by hostile fire.
The source of the fire that killed the other 10 Marines cannot be determined, according to the report.
So should we instead call Marine captains "Marine Killers"? Maybe you should be more afraid of Marine officers?
Or maybe bad shit happens in the fog of war...unfortunately.

Have they started letting enlisted dudes be JTACs yet? I heard they were thinking about it, not sure if it got anywhere.
as far as I know you still have to be a pilot to be one. I haven't been in the fleet since '04 however.
