They would have to be high before they went out in the rain with skittles and that ice tea to get the full experience. But they would have to end it by attacking the wrong person and getting shot. But if you add those details then Travon isn't the victim but the perpetrator.

I had better NOT say what I think about this shooting situation because if I do, I'd certainly receive the permanent ban hammer.

I'd say this was a joke but I know it isn't. Oh America, what has happened to you?

It's a Washington, DC public school - what did you expect? Especially at one named for Malcolm X? You're more likely to see rainbow farting unicorns come out of a place like that than common sense.

In our (still) very racially divided Nation, the message that this school is trying to bring forth to their students is actually quite noble: Malcolm X Elementary School has declared today “Trayvon Martin Day” in an effort “to better educate students and their parents about race relations and social injustice.”

This is really showing their students that mob opinion is more important then our courts.

I agree that we should wait until Mr. Zimmerman have had his day in court. What I was implying is that, in essence, their idea of teaching their students about social equality is a huge step towards helping defuse racial divisiveness but, by the same token, I also believe that they could just as well call it something other than Trayvon Martin Day.

Nonetheless, let us not forget that mainstream perception has the historical tendency of becoming reality.

I will grant you that I have not seen or heard exactly what was said at this event. However, I have lived and worked in Prince Georges county in Maryland and have expectations based on that experience. I expect it will be a pity party for Trayvon. I expect that George Zimmerman, if he is mentioned at all, will be portrayed in negative light. I expect they will not mention "due process", "legal procedure", or "rule of law" except to say something like "Zimmerman denied Trayvon his due process and gunned him down."

I will be pleasantly surprised if the event turns out any other way.

Describe these skillets? are they just ordinary non stick or did you spring for the cast iron that they will pass down to their kids with memories of how America used to be

Well I wholeheartedly disagree. I think, as you said in your previous post, there is a great deal of racial divisiveness in this country today.

I also think it's perpetuated more by blacks than it is whites. This whole Trayvon thing is another excuse for many in the black community to once again play the victim card. Instead of doing something constructive the administrators of this school are furthering the misguided agendas of idiots like Sharpton and Jackson.

Nonetheless, let us not forget that mainstream perception has the historical tendency of becoming reality.

Yeah...like voting for the first "black president" who has no real world experience might be a good idea.
