Drinking buddy of mine (Englewood Officer) passed this weekend.

You would think people would learn, but it will never happen to me syndrome sets in? They said, the driver just made a horrible mistake, ya no shit. God bless the wife and kids.

Sorry about your lost. Everytime I have dealt with the Englewood PD, it has been nothing but good. I hope they throw away the key for this guy.

My shroud is on my badge and I will try to attend the funeral if I can! Great guy and a great cop. Very professional! A huge loss..always had a smile on his face and that is how I will remember him by! RIP J. Bitner! You will be missed...and prayers sent to his family, kids and coworkers...it really is like losing one of your brothers so I feel for you englewood!

A real tragedy. I always think about the kids that lost a mommy or daddy. How do you explain something like this to them?
