Anyone here do spray-in bed liners?

Kicking around the idea of doing it myself with one of those Home Depot kits but I know a professional job would be better.

Anyone here do it? Professionally, that is. Not the Home Depot kit.

LOTS AND LOTS OF VENTILATION.
I had a "friend" do some roll on bed liner in the yard. I think 1/2 the neighborhood got high off the fumes. Squirrels were falling off the fence, birds hitting the church windows and i had one hell of a headache.
Keep in mind we have approx 1/4 acre in town, not one of those metro area lots.

My good friend does them. cheaper than rhino-liner or line-x but not as cheap as do-it-yourself.

those kits typically chip and peel off pretty easy unless you do serious prep work. you need to get the bed down to pretty much bare metal or else it won't stick on very long.

I used to do spray on bed liner a long time back working at a car dealership. took a lot of prep work but usually turned out awesome. definitely worth the investment if you are going to be rough on the vehicle/tow a lot/drive of dirt roads a ton/etc....

I don't keep vehicles long enough to care about the bed but if you plan on hanging on to something long enough it is definitely worth it.

Forget spray in liner, the Bedrug is the single best upgrade I put in my truck. It's awesome.

That's what I was thinking. Looks great and works great with gear, but you'd have to dump the vacuum 27 times to clean it after a trip to the gravel yard.

Stay away from the roll on kits. Did one years ago and I 'thought' I prepped it long enough (4 hours worth) and it started to chip and peel within the first year. As Jim said, ventilation is key. I was doing mine outside in the driveway and there were times when I got light headed. I have a friend in Windsor that does it but he is not cheap. He is also dealing with a recent family issues and may be out for awhile.

Actually you get the power washer and spray it out. It's a awesome product. I will likely never use it for rock or dirt but if I did I'd just put a tarp down first. It's padded so you could sleep in it and it's a carpet like plastic material that let's water run through it

Seems like a monopoly on bed liners. Everyone was within 50 bucks of each other and no deals to be had. Plus I like I can put stuff in my bed and it doesn't get scratched to shit from the spray on stuff.

I need to get mine done too, last time I talked to line-x about it they really didn't seem to want the business. I wanted to do color match and the bastards wanted damn near 3 times the cost of just black because they'd have to clean their equipment... Needless to say I didn't even get black done cause they pissed me off.

LineX (on S Broadway) just did an over-the-rail spray on liner on my 2500HD. Best job I've ever seen.

They did the same on my Taco and did an awesome job. The paint in the bed was terrible but they do an awesome job with prep and spraying.

I did a Rhino in my last truck and a Linex in my current truck. I like the Linex much better. They cost me about the same (about $550 over the rails in a 6' bed 6yrs ago). The a Rhino was very tough but faded very quickly and would leave a black residue on anything you touched it with. If you sat on the tailgate in light brown pants or ran your hand along the rail it would come away black. Even after you used their "conditioner". The Linex has been perfect for more than 6 years now. Looks new and I beat the crap out of it. And no residue.
