My car got stolen today at approx. 7:15pm in front Sportsman Warehouse on 84th and I25. Lics plate: 270-tbm It's a '04 Subaru STi Silver on gold BBS wheels. Mods were light, SPT exhaust that's been modified, megan downpipe with two cats, perrin intake pipe, and turboXS intake. not much else for a description. I'm trying to find a picture but I don't seem to have any good ones. I'll see if I can find one later. IF any of you guys see my car, please call the police. Thanks

Wouldn't it be nice to have a self destruct remote control for your vehicle?

I guess a big warning sticker would be required, but if the explosion was big enough, maybe nobody would ever know it wasn't there.

Sorry about the theft. Bastards...

It used to be Mustangs and Camaros. Then it was the Civics. Looks like the Subarus are pretty hot items now.

Sorry to hear it. Hopefully you had full coverage.

BP's kid's was a '04 WRX. Seems like there may be a ring looking for these.

A little off topic, were you in the Sportsmans warehouse parking lot about a month ago trading goodies? I saw a nice Subaru in the middle of what appeared to be a FTF sale.

Not as much, they dropped down a bit on the list for the Insurance Board list of most frequently stolen cars.
nisils, that sucks to hear man, I hope they recover it! I've been down that road and the feeling is pretty awful, you feel so violated and it feels very personal. I hope the guy(s) who did it suffers... [Rant1]

You might see if it would be possible to view the surveillance cameras in the SW parking lot. Maybe the Police are already looking into it?

I am a car dealer and I have had many STI's. The 2004 is particularly targeted because the keys don't have a chip in them making them quite easy to steal...

I had a bad day too...

I had an uninsured driver hit my car today, my brand new Rav4 isn't even a week old. Minor cosmetic damage, but the principle of things truly pissed me off because the lady clearly didn't give a fuck. As soon as I told her she was breaking Colorado law by not having insurance and had expired plates she floored it, knocking me down in the process. I'm guessing the vehicle may have been stolen, but I got her plate #'s and went to the PD office to report it, her vehicle is on a bolo list and if caught could face hit and run charges too.

p.s
She was in a Tundra though

I don't think it was, but I'm there often to look at ammo. lol

A few buddies and I were in looking for a rifle case and cleaning supplies, he just bought an AR. Thank god, that wasn't in the car and luckily I brought all my personal stuff with me. sometimes I forget my phone or something. We went in for about 15-20mins and came out looking for my car. Police should already have surveillance footage of the criminals. Here's a picture of my car, as you can tell It's relatively stock looking. The Side Skirts are factory but not for this particular model.

So very sorry for losing your baby Adam. Believe me, I know just how you feel.
It is pretty clear given the stealth that was used when Travis's blue Roo was stolen and what happened with yours this is a pretty well organized group.
Both occurred close to a highway for quick egress.
Clear that both cars were targeted specifically and followed to a location where the theft could take place.
As mentioned, I hope you had full coverage buddy and I pray they find your Roo intact.
Travis has already resigned himself to the fact that BlooRoo is gone.

Stolen Subaru Support Group?

Thieves are chicken shits.

I don't know why this isn't being publicized, but Subaru WRX/STIs are being stolen en-masse from the Metro-Denver area. Most are the earlier model, pre-2008.

I work over by 6th and Airport, where several WRX/STIs were stolen from the lot across nearby. Police told us that in the previous 2 weeks, 25 WRX/STIs were stolen from the metro-Denver area. And this was about 3 weeks ago when we were told.

Where I work now makes a point to keep an eye on WRX/STIs.

Sucks to hear. Least you got it back and hopefully like said is in good condition. Never had my car stolen but 6 years ago I bought an 06 Subaru WRX and the first night in the lot some people tried stealing my interior but got scared off. Those cars are too easy to get into.

I wasn't able to look at the car (not until tuesday), but according to one of the workers the interior, body panels and wheels are gone on the car. So if anyone comes across some gold BBS wheels with red w/ gold letter center caps, Silver STi body panels, or black '04 wrx interior. It could be mine, alert the cops or me :D.

Sorry about the theft. Bastards...

When my truck got stolen for a joy ride until it ran out of gas and left on the side of the road I dreamed up some pretty awesome booby traps. I just needed to figure out a way to make them look like freak accidents. My favorite was the idea of having a spike shoot through the drivers seat. Like a nail gun hooked to a small but capable air tank. Yes I know it is illegal to booby trap anything, but officer I am remodeling my home and put the tools down there out of sight so that they would not get stolen. Karma.

Someone needs to plant a gps unit in one and set them up.

Seems like it would be effective to track a car and get the bust, but it seems way too nice of a way to deal with trash like this.

I am glad that you are getting the car back, but that sucks that they tore the crap out of it. I had a friend in my division that came back from a 8 month deployment to a missing car. Turns out the cops had the car in their impound lot sitting in the rain for about 7 months after they recovered it in a chop house bust. The car had been completely dismantled and all of the parts were piled inside of it. They even took the internal engine components apart. I have no idea why, but the stripped block was sitting where his drivers seat used to be.

On the side note to the OP, I am glad that you got your car back, it's too bad that they trashed it. God I hate thefts! I hate saying this, but I hope they get what's coming to them. Maybe a firey death or they get thier rotten hands cut off. Meh, I don't hate saying that one bit! Scumbags!

glad my serious GF in high school found someone else. she went whorish for a while, got pregnant with a random guy and is now without a college education and in the same position as her mom.

As much as this sucks, it's just another chapter in life. As silly as it sounds at least I was to have closure.

There is an old dirty trick used by car thief's. They would steal a car they wanted, strip everything they could from they car, the car would be totaled and sold as salvage at the auction, then they would buy it back from the auction and reinstall everything back in it. It used to be the Vietnamese and Chinese gang-bangers that did this, but the Russians are doing this now too.

Bummed to hear about your ride, I hope the insurance company takes care of you...
