I dont know when i will really ever use it but i can control my computer from my phone for free!

Great! That also means a hacker can control your computer from THEIR phone!

I view these types of applications as a security nightmare - especially if they're free. The app developer needs to eat too. How can you be sure they're not selling access to your computer, your data, your identity?

I don't worry too much about for me. I have nothing to hide maybe a school paper or two. But for some people this would be nice. They have versions you can purchase

Yes it is! Its not only for phones. I use it to support users remotely too!

At least you're using it with eyes wide open. I've been on DoD systems for a long time and they crap concrete blocks over remote access software.

I love it when people says this. You may not have anything to hide but dont be so naive as to think the attacker is after you. They may be after your friends, your family, etc... you may just be a tiny piece of the puzzle.

Splashtop remote desktop is nice also, but only for Android I think.

Rgr, we use a management system for wireless control from our Ipads to our Promethean boards in class... pretty slick stuff...

Too bad they denied my $2K budget for instrument repairs and instead gave me $6K of technology crap I'll never use as a Music Teacher in the specific classes I teach...

I use Teamviewer to remote support friend's/family's machines.

Its also fun to remote in and change their home page when they're not home. Something like meatspin.com (<<DO NOT GO TO THAT SITE!!) usually gets them pissed.
