So after 15 years of putting up with her ass and 6 years of dating before that i guess i am gonna take my wife out for a date? Even living in Vegas we have never been to Joes crab shack. So saturday night i am gonna take her to the crab shack but THEN WHAT? We are giving grandpa the kids for the night so we may just get drunk and stay in the city for the night.
Whats the best one to go to thats close to some good nightlife and maybe hotels?

We have been together for 21 years so thats not even fun anymore haha
By city, do you mean Denver?
If so, I've always liked my stays at "The Curtis" hotel. Right across from the DCPA, 1.5 blocks to 16th street. A block away from the best hang-over breakfast/brunch at Sam's No 3.

I guess we will go to the westmenster crab shack unless theirs a reason to go to one of the others?
That one is a mile from my house. It gets awfully crowded on weekends, but they take reservations, and a reservation for 2 should get you seated pretty quick.

Thanks i was considering that.
Funny, we often end up going to Joe's Crabshack these last couple of years.
EDIT: The one in Westminster too! It can get crowded on the weekends.

Harbor Freight!
There is a movie themed hotel, in Denver, but I can't think of the name. Heard it is fun. Santa Fe, Tennyson St... I can't really recommend 16th St.
Forney museum.
Harbor Freight!
This. Harbor freight is 2 blocks away from that Joe's. I love harbor freight!
But I like 16th street, if you know where to go. I can recommend some places if you like.
There are places that are suited to "older than college kid" crowd. But not all.

I dont get off work till 5:30 so reservations would be for like 7 or 8 so ya it would be nice to have some ideas so we dont wander around all night. Cool

I can chow down with the best of them. I only got a little over half.
Joe's for sure clears out the later you go. Are you going to the one off of 92nd and Sheridan? If so, the police department is right across the street, and the speed limit is 25 mph! They like to sit at the bottom of the hill and bust people driving normal speeds (but over 25 mph).

If you like seafood,
Don't go to Joe's Crab Shack.
Just my opinion

Hell with all that, just call in sick and make it a all day and night date night! Okay here's what you do... leave early and take a quick drive up to Red Rocks Amphitheater and check out their Rock and Roll Hall of fame, then dash over to Heritage Square and walk around all the shops, get an old fashion photo done at the Vintage Photo shop. Take a spin down the Alpine slide and grab some lunch (don’t eat too much because you’ll want to have a hot dog and a beer at the Rockies game at Coors Field). Game starts at 2:10 so pick up your tickets ASAP. After the Rockies whoop the Dodgers, take I-25 North and head towards the Boulder Turnpike (Hwy 36 West) get off on Sheridan Blvd. Stay to the right and it will curve hard right and then you’ll turn left in the parking lot to Joe’s Crab Shack. Enjoy some crab and all the fun stuff you can handle. Now it’s time for a little desert, zip over to Wadsworth and 80th for some frozen yogurt goodies at Yogurt Land (yum, yum) be careful not to over do it, there’s still more to come after all its still early. Take Wadsworth north to 100th turn right and go east about a mile to the Promenade Theater and check out a flick... Now the moment of truth, are you going to make this a date night to remember for all times or what? Blackhawk is open all night (I-70 West to Central City Parkway) about a 45 minute drive and your there or La Quinta Inn Denver Westminster Mall8701 Turnpike Dr, Westminster, CO 80030</SPAN> (303) 425-9099 about 10 – minute drive south on Sheridan. They have a pool so bring your swimsuits.[Beer]
Bowling is always a good fallback.

Wife and I ordered the burrito to share and by the time we finished, it didn't look like we even touched it. Leftovers for breakfast for 2 weeks!

She's going to pick a fight before you get back to the hotel and you"ll end up sleeping on the floor-ALONE. Save your money and stay home. You'll be much happier on Monday when you go back to work.
Wow. The ever pessimist I guess?

Thats pretty much how we have been. Maybe a couple hours now and then. And normally i would rather spend money on guns rather then going out but i guess its time for an outing, then [Muaha] i can concentrate on fire power!

Naw after all these years of ups and downs a fight between us would probably end in a shoot out [Beer] we had some knock down drag outs in our younger years but now i just ignore the negative, dont volunteer for anything, and keep my mouth shut.

The Westminster promenade is always a good date night. The hotel there is nice, there are good restaurants, a movie theatre, a bowling alley, Dave and busters, ect all within walking distance.

They don't run every night, but about a mile and a half from that Joe's mad cap theater does improv comedy most weekends. Good idea.

We stayed n the suites at the doubletree hotel by the joe crab shack off of 92nd and Sheridan the night of our wedding. It was a little over 200 but it was really cool! Jacuzzi etc etc!
Wallary had decent advice, except the part where he tries to get you a divorce by suggesting going to downtown Denver AND trying to stomach a crappy baseball game at the same time. The comedy place by Joe's Crab Shack is called Wit's End. I'm all for Black Hawk and the Comedy Club.

Ameristar rooms are NOT cheap for decent rooms, unless you blew a lot cash there beforehand.

Damn. I'm looking for good ideas as well, for our 1st wedding anniversary (June 11th). The comedy places seemed to be closed on Mondays, so I'm looking for ideas too.
We are going to Flemings for dinner which will be nice. I was there years ago and it was excellent. A post in the "Stuck On You" forum reminded me of the place.

Joe's madcap theatre is in this same complex and does a couple of shows each night.

[Beer] every once in a while we go down to comedy clubs in westminster. the first time you go its kinda pricey (2 tickets and 2 drink minimum), but then they call you all the time with free tickets.

one of my favorite date night activities.

You want to score major points, look up boutique hotels. They will be a little more but totally worth it. Quick search, looks to be maybe ten in Denver.
We used to do date night, now if the kids dissappear for an evening we hotly anticipate going to bed early and getting up late! Extra sleep!!!
Woo Hoo!

My Second wedding anniversary June 11th, [Beer].
Last year we went up to Palisade, did a bunch of wine tastings, checked out a festival. Its pretty nice up there this time of year. Still not 100% sure what we are doing this year.
I guess we will go to the westmenster crab shack unless theirs a reason to go to one of the others? If you are going to the Westminster Crab Shack then I'd suggest one of two comedy shows that aren't far away. First is Wit's End, I think they have a 9:30 or 10 show on Fridays. Then there is an improv club called Madcap Theater over by the Westminster Promnade theater.
And just one small piece of advice if you have the Cajun pot, keep your hands off of each other! That spice don't wash off and let me tell you it burns both of you on some rather sensitive areas.
There is a place in the same complex as Comedy Works south (attached to the coffee shop) that has nightly classes that teach you to cook meals. You show up, the liquor flows, and they show you how to cook an awesome meal. You eat it, with more drinks, then you go home and someone else cleans up. Costs like $85 a person and the class I saw was full with about 12 people total. They have couples xlasses but those are something around $120 each.
