I don't know about you guys, but I keep a mossy 590a1 loaded with 000 buck, a side saddle of slugs, and a speedfeed stock with "flamethrowers" for just such an occasion. :)

In all seriousness though, I have given some serious consideration to bird-flu preparedness of late. While it hasn't mutated into human-to-human contact, I imagine it's a matter of time before it does. While I'm not overly concerned about the flu itself (I don't intend to be in major cities long enough to catch it) I am concerned about what people will turn into when it hits the continental US. If flooding was enough to create a complete societal breakdown in less than a week down in New Orleans, imagine what a terminal virual outbreak would do in a major city... zombies would be prefferable. I for one intend to be long gone before the riots and widespread panic sets in. The hills are rife with game, hiding spots, fresh water, and isolation.

Just don't start sneezing around me if you're in my little commune - I've got an itchy trigger finger and a healthy dose of paranoia... :)

From a person I used to be friends with here on the boards. Not sure where he got them, but I heard some wild stories about them. He said he once used one to get rid of an unruly and threatening tenant (he had a ranch with rented outbuildings) and the guy took off like a rabbit. He said something about a "30 yard sheet of flame." People being people, and stories being what they are, I take it with a grain of salt. That's why I only took up 4 of my 19 round carrying space on the gun with them. If they work even half as well as he said, they might have a useful purpose later on. If not, I've only wasted 4 spots on them, and still have plenty of useful ammo.

I know I've seen them on Gunbroker.com before for about $45.00 per pack of 9. There are accompanying pictures, but they're fuzzy and hard to make out. I imagine in all probability they're glorified fire-crackers, not flame throwers - but hey - if they're not.... they could be really cool room/vehicle clearers.... :)

Sounds like it's time to go up to Kelsey Creek or something at dusk and try one out. It's not like you'll set anything on fire with all this snow, and you'll know if they're good zombie-fryers or not.

Probably DragonsBreath rounds. They can be picked up at gunshow every once in a while. They are cool to shoot but you will set some stuff on fire if its dry out.

There is a company out in Georgia that sells all the novelty shotgun rounds. I have some dragon’s breath and they don't work worth a crap. Me and Alan shot some of them out of the serbu and we were not impressed to say the least.
