These zombie scares are really freaking some people out and making ammo disappear quick. Has anyone else noticed that its going quicker since faces, brains, hearts, and forearms have been eatin?
I really wanted to buy tons of the cheap steal cased .308 today and it was all gone! Had to pay well over double just for plinking! Oh well

Makes you wish you had invested in ATK, Olin, and Hodgdon.

Not only is ammo selling really quickly from store shelves I've noticed that the price has gone up. I guess it's that old supply/demand thing.

Yep prices started really going up around FEB, I even had a hard time finding small pistol primers. I am stocked on 9mm, just need more 12 gauge now.

Yeah I have cut shooting way way back for a while. I am so glad I jumped on that last 22LR deal so I still get to go out all the time. Just not shootin anything else for safe keeping. It was a rough week after explaining to my wife that we could not buy a new table because I spent over $800 on 22 ammo, but she forgot about it and now I am glad I did it.

A while ago I decided to start keep ammo for guns I sold, even if I didn't have anymore of that caliber. Now I have a 40mm can full of different handgun and rifle rounds, mostly boxed, but some in storage grade ziplocks. I like to think of it as my "Zombie Currency Exchange", because when the dark days come, I'll have something to trade with anyone! (Here at least!)

Powers/Woodmen WM in the Springs had plenty of everything this morning except 9mm - just a few boxes of the 147gr FAE @ $.16/round + tax.

Plenty of ammo out there. This is/will not be a repeat of 2008 no matter how bad you hoarders want it to be.

I look at it as investing, not hording. [Coffee]

You need to look in the reloading / ammo trading post forum. There were 2 ad's now 1 left.
The down side to 10mm, most of you 10mm guys are cheap MFker's so there is always a fair amount available for those who don't mind spending money.

At what price was it per case? Yes it is available but i'll will never pay more than $250 tops per case. This side of $400 for 1K is an embarrassment.
Wonder what my SA 556 battle packs are worth, being steel case is $300 per now.

Yeah I bought two boxes of buffalo bore so I can get used to shooting it. No point if you can't handle the round when you actually need it

I bought 1000rds of ten-x ammo (115gr 9mm) from a guy at the tanner show for 190.00 w/ammo can. He is in the north east corner. they're reloads but I have never had a problem with them, I've had more problems with dad's ammo.
