I've got 2 K31's :mrgreen:

Both are well built and rugged, I'd give a slight edge to the Mosin, just on the basis of the Ammo availibilty. {In other words, Cheap Ammo}

All things being equal, {Ammo cost the same} It would be the K31.

I heard so many great things about this rifle that I had to have one. I have found out that ammo is a little hard to get right now, especially cheap. I'll of course post picts once I get it.

Don't be surpised if the stock looks like it was used to pound tent stakes. :mrgreen:

The bore will be Great though. Those Swiss guys really knew how to clean they're rifles.

I am expecting to have to refinish the stock. Everything I have read says ALL the stocks are in bad shape, especially the butt end.

The K31 is a great rifle. Shoots great, very accurate, excellent machine work. These rifles are tough to beat. I bought a case of ammo in Salida at the gun shop there. Don't know if he has anymore or not.

Get on surplus rifle.com and from there you can learn about everything there is to know on these great rifles. If you can't tell next to the 1903 the K31 is my favorite rifle.
