Does anybody have a link or instructions on how to adjust the Lyman 57?
I have it mounted on a k98 that was sporterized.
Thanks :)

Actually the bolt not matching is pretty common. any import stamps?

I just sold one like that and I am still kicking myself.

No import marks. It was a tag sale find.
The story I got from the seller was that grandpa brought it home and made it into his hunting rifle.
Once I get the sights dialed in I,m sure it'll be a tack driver.
That and I would like to find a decent sporter stock for it.

If there are no import marks then it is a bring back. The bolt and rifle not matching is common because they were usually stored separately so random bolt was stuck in random rifle. Ceck boyds gunstocks for nice sporter stocks.

Yup thats on my list for when I get to Co.
I wonder if one with a comb on it would be to high up for the sights?

Piece of cake its not a good stock but you will be able to check the cheek piece before you go spending cash.

If it's solid thats pretty much all that counts.
I'm not looking at winning the looks department, just putting lead where it counts ;)
Thanks

Oh no the stock is actually cracked but it has the cheek comb on it so you can see if that is what you want to do with a new one.....sorry bout that I should have been more clear :o
