I am looking for someone who can build a custom backpack for my grandson. He is a smallish 2 year old with cystic fibrosis. He is about to be placed on a 24/7 feeding regimen so he will need to carry a battery powered pump and bag of fluid with him most of the time. There are commercial units made, but they are for older/larger children and don't distribute the weight very well.

I would like to have one made for him that lets him run and play with the least interference and which is stable and supports the weight partially on his hips rather than just the shoulders. In addition to all those challenges, straps and such have to clear the gastric tube site on his abdomen.

Can someone point me to a place to get this made?
Thanks,
--Chris

These guys are in Longmont and make a lot of shooting accessories from nylon, shooting bags etc. They might be able to help you out. Don't know though. I know they are local and have a good rep for supporting shooters. They may go the extra yard for you. If not, they might very well know who to contact.

Edited to add: Oh ya, Kifaru... call them first.
