Anyone been able to read more on this? I've been wanting a SCAR Platform, but haven't been able to talk myself into another carbine. Looks like FN solved that problem for me...

Me either. I've heard the SCAR is awesome and I would love to have one, but not for that kind of money.
Ohhh.. Me likey.
Check it out! (http://www.fnherstal.com/index.php?id=184&backPID=182&productID=200&pid_product=232&pidList=182&categorySelector=1&detail=&cHash=dafb8e23e6)
The scar is way over priced. The only reason it fetches that kind of money is due to it being in demand since its the new hot thing. What do people like about it? I've held one a few times and hated it.

Got to play with one of these yesterday actually while I was hangin with some RRC boys (the PR, not the TPR, difference is a folding stock vs. the one pictured). Brand freakin new.
Unbelievably light, smooth as butter, stupid easy to break down, comes standard with folding BUIS and flash hider made to accept a quick attach suppressor (at least these ones came like that). Only thing I didn't like about it was manipulating the safety was a little awkward for me because its further forward than on an M4, but I have small hands and that can be solved with a different grip anyway.
After getting to handle it and spend some time with it, I'd buy one for sure.
SCARs really aren't that expensive when you compare them to high end piston ARs.
they beat the barret rec 7 for price.
