He didn't get it back then either. It's not about the ability to "pay its own bills". It's about not spending money you don't have. He doesn't worry about limiting spending to a level that our economy can manage.

Honestly, I cannot believe that he has ever had the interests of the country in mind. This guy has been a liar from the beginning and he has pandered to the lowest common denominator all his political life. His party has systematically been dumbing down the public educational institutions for the last forty years (the republicans have been party for the last 20) and it shows by who is being elected in both parties: cheats, liars, idiots (capsize islands??), racists and drug addicts.
